Hi, trying to reach Kevin . I live out in Bakersfield, CA. Got a couple ke100s that I am trying to get rid of. One runs (74') and the other doesn't (76') but is a low mileage bike. I'm talking like 1200 miles on the odometer. Used to be a street legal and has headlight light tail light. You know any one that would want these out here in California? I know you are east coast but I wanted to ask. Thank you for your time
@dietznutz18 ай бұрын
Hey Kevin I was wondering do you know if a ke100 can burn trans oil through the flywheel side of the case or is just through the disc valve side ?
@2strokeguru8 ай бұрын
Disk side if the crankshaft seal or Owings fail

@2strokeguru thanks Kevin, my 74" g4 is smoking like a train with a blown turbo, oil pump is good and I've torn the valve covet out but everything looks good unfortunately

Should always use a pressure washer first, before any type of disassembly is started, it only takes two mins, dirt is not your friend, with that said ,the cleaner you start your job off with the better!!, it just makes sense to do so! And for videos it helps to show the people watching that you may know what you are doing!!
@2strokeguru Жыл бұрын
Yes it is a great practice to block intake and exhaust so no water gets into the engine a clean engine is a happy engine heavy dirt and debris around the cylinder can also cause over heating
@charlesshort4287 Жыл бұрын
I was talking about what one should do before starting to work on anything, you don't want dirt falling in the intake or anywhere else, A little water in nothing to what dirt can do!! It's just a cleaner out come, I love your channel, watching for 5 - 6 years now, you are a very smart man, I started riding a 72-g5 100, I have a 1975&91-100's & A 85 kd80, I have learned a lot from you, I also watch to see what you bring home next, you do find the deals, have a good day, and Happy Thanks Giving!

Hey Kevin, is there anyway I could get a hold of you I’m working on an older DT 100 Yamaha and I need a couple parts and I’ve seen you work on them. Let me know how I can get a hold of you.

Hi Kevin, I have a 74 g5. I did fresh top end and can’t get started. Have spark and fuel. I can’t help but wonder if rotory valve is backwards? Seems right.. closed when piston travels down and open while traveling up? I’ve cleaned and adjusted points. Any help would be awesome! Thanks, Mike

Kevin just wanted to tell you thanks for your videos they have been very helpful repairing my 1980 Suzuki DS100 also any idea what the jet sizes are from stock The carburetor is the original one it has been rebuilt and cleaned but I’m not able to get the bike to rev out the previous owner put the Jets in here but I don’t think they are correct. Keep up the good work thanks again Mia, Cleveland, Ohio.

Hey do you happen to have a wiring diagram for this? Does it just not use a cdi box?
@2strokeguru Жыл бұрын
The cdi module is actually built into the ignition coil
@RYANINBODEN1547 Жыл бұрын
@@2strokeguru Ah i see. So I have no wiring harness but i do have the coil so would i just run one wire to coil and the other grounded and that's it to get spark? This is my first bike setup like this so I have no idea haha. I may make a video showing how it's setup. Another question is do you happen to know what size flywheel puller i need? I really appreciate the help too
@2strokeguru Жыл бұрын
@mc iron mug don't need to pull flywheel black wire from magnto directly to the black wire on the coil should have spark
@RYANINBODEN1547 Жыл бұрын
@@2strokeguru ohhh I was thinking black wire wouldve been ground. Good to know. I was gonna remove the flywheel to clean the magnets and all but I'll try that first

I knew a man named Myron Bergeron who lived in Brunswick Maine and was a teacher for many decades at SAD 75 here in this area. He lived on Columbia Street Brunswick at the time of his passing in the early 2000's.
