Dubai Trip - Justin and Sarah's Vacation

Justin and Sarah’s trip to Dubai in February of 2017.
Day1: Calgary to Toronto, then to Dubai. Landed in Dubai Airport at around 10 pm. Met with Sarah’s childhood best friend and her fiancé. We checked into Copthorne Hotel near Deira City Centre.
Day2: Visited Deira City Centre, then in the evening went to Caribou Coffee for Sarah's best friend's wedding prep.
Day 3: Walked around Historic village, Gold Souq and Old Souq. We had a fruity drink at Ashwaq Cafeteria.
Day4: Took the metro to Dubai Mall, which had indoor ice skating and aquarium. Then walked over to Burj Khalifa and went to the observation deck of the world’s tallest building.
Day 5: Slept in for the day, and then met with few of Sarah’s high school friends and went out for dinner at Al Hallab for authentic Arabic cuisine.
Day 6: Visited Dubai Museum for 2 AED per person. We also walked around Al Fahidi Historic Neighborhood.
Day 7: Ronjoy’s wedding day! Sarah was one of the bridesmaid for Ronjoy’s church wedding, followed by a reception at a local park.
Day 8: Took a cab to Jumeirah beach. It was the coldest day during our visit to Dubai. Took the metro to Mall of Emirates, which had the indoor skiing.
Day 9: Desert Safari excursion. A tour guide from Sand Trax came to our hotel and picked us up in an SUV. We went into the desert for a camel ride, ATV ride, belly-dancing performance and Arabic/Mediterranean dinner.
Day 10: Sarah’s half sister met us at our hotel and then we took a 3-hour bus ride to Fujairah to meet Sarah’s Dad and his family.

I can't understand why anybody wouldn't want to meet Sarah, she's so sweet, kind, friendly, loving, smart, smiles the light up a room, I can feel her laughter all the way to Denver, CO.

I don’t see why he should convert to Islam.Her father is totally wrong to ask him to do something like that.His daughter doesn’t dress like a Muslim.Did you all remember what her wedding dress looked like.That was no way near being Islamic,but he was willingly to be at her wedding if Justin converted. I am a Muslim married to a Hindu man and we are very happy together,we have been married for 41 years and have a son and a granddaughter.Our family is happy for us and we are happy.Leave that man alone and let them live their lives and be happy. Such a calm spirited lovely couple. Justin is funny and "comes out of shell" when around Samantha. Samatha is gregarious and happy go lucky. Yet, Justin's refined approach to life "grounds" her. Love thier dynamic. Respect Justin's quiet confidence, intellect, kindness, maturity, influence, loyalty, values, easy going nature, and humor greatly. He's also "fione."😍😍😊 Love his sawg and his confident walk. Total package. No disrespect or thirst. Just observation.

This was so beautiful to watch. When it was finished I was surprised. The malls are beautiful and the music that plays in the background of the vlog was so appropriate ... calm and chilling vibes to it. Love it. Great experience I can just imagine. The editing was great.

You two are a beautiful couple. I understand how difficult it is too marry a man from a different ethnicity, I too have done so....with the same struggles you address. I have been married for 3 years now and am still not accepted (not just are we different ethnicity but he and his family are Muslim. I wish you happiness. Don't let anyone get between your love.

The only contribution i can give to this video is that my previous boss traveled to Dubai many times a year, at least once a month. I know the whole area very well even when I have never been there. It is a beautiful city in a beautiful country.

Sarah, you have a very beautiful smile! It reads through from the core of your soul. Don't ever plead for acceptance because you already have the right stuff and anyone that can't be bothered to even try and see what their son has decided that you, are his soul mate then, they have lost out. People have standards and you should have your own as well. If people dismiss you out of hand without meeting you half way you then, you must smile and move on because your energy is genuine and kind and no one has a right to mistreat another individual especially when that individual is the life partner of your son. As my grandmother used to say, stand tall and walk proud. Which is in defense of self-respect not arrogance. Remember self-love and the class and poise you own and don't every compromise your principles just so you can be accepted. You are good enough. And these words come from seeing your other videos about the process that you & Justin are pursuing in trying to have a good foundation starting out in your marriage together. Go ahead and get married whether you are completely accepted or not! Take care of each other and have fun!

Dean..I agree with what you are saying, totally..however, because it is the rejections of their parents'..I would think it is the people you most want to be excited and accepting of your greatest achievements..graduating from University, welcoming the love in your life, then fiance, attending the wedding, buying a house but most of all the 💓 children 💓 ..in order to achieve a statelike mode of indifference..they must grieve & then accept together ..I believe they are doing this..otherwise how do you expect a marriage to survive!..I say..moi

We went to Qatar and at the souqs my friend bought many gold necklaces. I thought it was ridiculous at the time. But walking around in an American mall years later with one of the necklaces on, a family owned jeweler offered to pay nearly 3x what my friend paid 😲😲😲 Lesson learned for me. I know what to invest my money in next time.

To all the misinformed people who are talking about converting. Even if he doesn't practice Islam he would have to technically "convert" on paper for her marriage to be recognized in Sudan and if they were going to do two weddings (a traditional Sudanese wedding along with a Korean one) like some interracial couples do. My friend is Sudanese (Muslim) and getting married to a man from Spain (Christian) and that's what they did.

Thank you for sharing this vlog. I thought everybody was a Muslim in Dubai!!! I didn’t know Christianity was legally allowed. I wasn’t expecting a church wedding. By the way , are there a lot of Filipinos living in Dubai? You had said that you grew up in the Philippines, so we are surprised to see that you have so many Filipino childhood friends living in Dubai!!

Jojo Jo Dubai is a melting pot of so many different ethnicities and religions! There’s churches there too to accommodate for christians, as do most middle eastern countries :) though Islam is the major religion in the Middle East there’s soo many other religions in the region! As a matter of fact there’s many Arab christians :) and to answer your question there’s many Filipinos in Dubai, Kuwait etc who work there :)
