I can’t help but imagine your in laws watching this thinking they’re better for hating on this beautiful family for existing. While they are angry and bitter this beautiful family is filled with love and light. Don’t allow their hatred to stain your soul. Forgive them and live your life with all this happiness every single day not to spite them but with the hope that one day they will overcome their weaknesses and share joy with you.

Backtracking here.. so proud of your filipina mom. I’m sure your mom’s support to your relationship helped strengthen your resolve. Filipino moms, though they have a tendency to nag, will shower their children (and grandkids) unconditional love.

It must be a genetic thing! No matter what gift was opened, all the women had to oooh and aww, and gurgle with delight! The true delight is the fellowship expressed amongst these guests. The world is in sore need of such friendships which cut across so many barriers.

I love how the tradition of having a birthday party for a one year old is really about an opportunity for the adults to have a party of sorts. The one year old is oblivious (LOL).
