Dublin is stunning to visit..sadly prices have shot right up recently.

You walked past The Bailey, lovely to sit outside & listen to the buskers.. Davy Byrnes pub across from it is mentioned in James Joyce's, Ulysses. It will be full on a Friday afternoon with people drinking Guinness & eating oysters, as in the book.

Glasgow has got very expensive too, especially city centre hotels.

Even the irish wouldn't drink or eat in Temple bar it's a tourist trap, best viewed from the back window as you drive straight through come to shannon and the wild Atlantic way, you'll be welcome and not ripped off

Me and a few friends were on the lash in Bruxelles Bar just out side The Westbury years ago and Bob Geldof walked out and past us. We couldn't resist in taking the pee out of him. He never found it as funny as we did lol McDaids on your right as you leave The Westbury is well worth a visit. Real old Dublin pub that one and does a wicked pint of Guinness. It was Est in 1779.

My old home town. Had a trip back last year and miss Ireland now more than ever. True that Dublin is very expensive but outside it, not so much.

Spent a lot of time in Dublin as a kid late 1960s. Prices then were similar to England . Drinks prices have all gone a bit silly now .. Man Unt Everton and Leeds would all play pre- season friendlies against the likes of Shamrock Rovers, Shelbourne etc . I remember Bobby Charlton giving George Best a right rollicking for not trying hard enough in a game , shouting “ Move your arse George!” . Slattery’s was a good bar , down some side street in the city centre , with traditional folk music sessions. You might catch the likes of The Chieftons having a jam there..

Looks nice Kevin, a bit of West End Glasgow, Leith Edinburgh feel to it. Might just add it to the 2024 list of places to visit.Thanks.🙂

Great city stayed there four weeks ago in the Motel one if you get a chance you should try FX Buckley Steakhouse it's a wee bit on the pricey side but great food

Cost ne 1200 for london for 3 nights but never been over there seems there is alot to see nice to see the trams

I stayed at Citybreak apartment just across from Bruxelles Pub beside the Westbury - great rooms and much better rate than Westbury!

kelvin Dublin has so much to tell you apart from you walked a along a lot of places where films were made such as trumpet city when you walked over the halfpenny bridge also clery's pub amines street Michael Collins scene and across the road far and away where tom cruise gets shot from robbing the house lots more to se also right bedside you Clarence hotel u2 owe this hotel. Always like your vlogs fella, showing the different bars and prices is useful.Would not go back though..Not that much to see history wise compared to other cities. Too expensive . Get a cheap flight and go to Krakow, Budapest or Valencia as examples..

Take it from me. Dublin today is not Ireland. If you want to see Ireland go to Kilkenny. That’s what Ireland is. Prices are still high (not as high) but the craziness and crime is null.

I'm from Dublin, left 7 years ago for Barcelona, why, the cost, rents, cost of living, simply unaffordable and it's only got worse. Miss the city and my friends but wouldnt move back.

Even people living in Ireland would rarely go to Dublin, imagine costs for example pints, concert, travel. Non viable.

I live in Ireland and I avoid going to Dublin whenever possible.I just wish people would venture into rural Ireland which is much more economical There are towns and villages with fantastic accommodation ,stunning sites and the cuisine is out of this world .
