I've heard many times the plastic chassis is better because it will flex, then return to normal shape better. So I think you're assessment is correct.

Welcome back! I have 5 redcat, Redcat offer good priced in summer and fall December, the Landslide is in my list but I see a few videos always the problem is the chassis, If you want a good basher front redcat Kaiju ( first version )is the car, my have 2 years never change a part.

Personally I’ve had no experience with Redcat products. But I see them reviewed on here from time to time. To me, that thing performs like a dog. Only 36 top speed for a 4s RC? My 3s Granite goes faster than that thing. And trust me, brother, you didn’t jump that thing too brutally. I saw your video where you speed tested the Gorgon on 2s, 3s, and 4s lipo. And you had that thing screaming across the yard and cartwheeling across the yard at high speed on 4s and broke nothing but the body! 😂 Great video regardless!

You have found the weakest point of the car. I just bought a car that had the M2c chassis brace to solve this issue. The good news is its a modular constructed car and the driveshaft is about $6. I am thinking of making braces to solve this issue but I haven't nailed down my design. The upper arm will rip out is the next worst thing to me but stick with it. Mine backflips off everything and parts are affordable. You can turn up the punch by holding the set button till green blinks four times then go up to 9. You are on five is my guess. Have fun!
