The tilt likes to go in a random direction every once in a while, but I stuck with it and had a final score of 1,263,050. Very good tut.

Thanks. You can hit tilt more than once every 5 seconds. Just as long as you only hit it twice in 5 seconds. If you have 4X, it takes about 2 mins to get 1M points. Aim for the Red Key target to max points, and then left tilt (A key on a PC) to knock down all 3 targets. You can safely left tilt twice in succession if you need to. Repeat.

OMG after finally getting the achievement with the 2x score I started hitting the ball around without trying and I got a 6x score and the ball landed on the top left flipper. Grrrr that would have saved me loads of time -_- Thanks for the video dude it was actually very helpful :)

wow that made it so much better lost it around the 800 000 mark first try cos my game froze but second try i got a 4X multiplier and got it done in like 5 min well handy thx so much

@BlaizeAssasin Basically, only use tilt to knock the ball to the left a little when it goes out of reach from the flipper. and it doesn't say you HAVE to use tilt every 5 seconds, it says you SHOULDN'T USE it more than once every 5 seconds, or else the pinball table will shut down.

Even with the trick, it was hard as hell for me to do it. It didn't matter how gently I tapped the joystick (ps3) he'd double or triple tilt and cause the ball to basically fall strait down. I final got it when I got to the Titty City and figured I'd give it one more go. I halfway believe the tricks were put into it on purpose, considering the Scientits machine in "the Doctor That Cloned Me" has a similar trick that you about have to. Highly underrated game, in my opinion.

@LucienFati You don't have to turn off auto-aim, because auto-aim only kicks in when trying to aim at enemies. Aiming at buttons stays the same either way. And the whole terminology around 2.5 does go into varying opinion territory, so I'll agree on you there. DN3D does use 2D sprites, after all. :) As for 3D platformers dying... I think they're just a bit less popular at the moment, like adventure games were for a while. I mean, the new Alice game is doing rather well for a platformer.

@LucienFati Well, Duke3D was a bit less plane locked than, say, DooM. You could turn off auto aim and you'd have to actually use page up and page down to then gun down the enemies. In fact, that's how the modern port of DN3D plays. It's exactly on the border of when the aiming started getting better in these kinds of FPSes. Also, the game *was* rendered in (imperfect) 3D. As far as I know, 2.5D is the kind of 3D that locks you in two dimensions of movement, like Manhattan Project does.

Here's another good way I found; Beat the game and then use the option in the menu to slow down the game. This cheat doesn't disable achievements, and you'll find the ball is so much easier to control now. Also, when the machine registers a Tilt you still get the points you earned on that ball. With the game slowed it is extremely easy to keep the ball in play and earning points using tilt.

I got my 1 mil at pinball yesterday thanks to this video. Thanks again for uploading it, very easy achievement to get :)

@LucienFati Of course, I meant Duke Nukem 3D. That game let you get anywhere quite quickly, instead of the slow old man that is in the new game. Besides, in both the 2D and 3D maps you always had several paths you could - or had to - take, which is also something I definitely miss in this game.

Of course it's not the great masterpiece most people seem to expect after 12 years but honestly, I enjoyed it more than many other recent games, both in SP and MP. The only thing I can complain about is the monotonous level design but as singleplayer DLC is on its way, I'm very confident that the game will turn out to be the varied experience I have been waiting for after all.

Am I the only person for which the tilting is really finicky? It only works 80% of the time and even though I always aim it south-west it sometimes goes right and screws me over when I'm at 730,000.

is the tilt glitch for others as well because mine seems to register 1 tilt as many then the paddles disable?

I actually managed to 700,000 before I realized I had 700,000 and then I was like NOOOO when I lost my last ball o' steel. I wasn't even going for the achievement, just the ego boost and got caught up in the game. Your method is pretty solid though :D

FFS tilt to the left is only working half the time. Sometimes you hear the sounds dubble and the ball goes to the right.. I aint moving the stick to fast if you ask me..

Since when does duke nukem fuck around with shit? He should be like "fuck pinball" then destroy the machine to get max score.

It took me like 20 minutes but with this strategy I made it.

Finally netted it, got my score to 3.5 million. I find the best way is to keep restarting until you manage to get at least a 4x multiplier with at least two balls left (hah, two balls... Sorry, this game has broken my brain). I also found that using this same method, but gently rolling the ball up the left wall and even taking out one or two tabs at a time is the best way. I only relied on the tilt in emergencies since it is fairly unreliable. Taking time to roll the ball takes alot of patience, but alot less then any other method. I'm one of the people that likes this game and I'm playing it for the second time through(on Steam right now). I also love pinball. First time through was on Ps3, and I beat it, but I don't remember dealing with this garbage. It almost ruined the game for me this time, it's one terrible pinball game and this achievement is just damn annoying, frustrating and an all around piss off overall. Happy to be moving on to other things. Growing up with Duke Nukem 3D I had always badly wanted to play the pinball machine. Now I wish he just said, "I don't be time to play with myself!" cbs then moved on like he used to. Note: I spent about an hour of my life doing this and I wouldn't advise wasting anymore time then that on it. Or even that much....

@Glapsvin i've just done it. the rest of the games easy now. the pinball machine isnt that hard you just need to do it a few times to understand the quickest way to do it, what to avoid and to help your reactions speed up as you'lle be a bit slow the first few times until you get into it.. thats what i did anyway

The air hockey is easy if your patient, this though, I almost through the controller at the tv, I still haven't got it

I did this but without the modifiers 😭 it was the longest 30 mins, but thanks tho I got a rare steam achievement

@razer3230 That's your opinion, what do you mean too linear ? I know when we compare it to Duke Nukem 3D it is very linear, but it isn't that linear that you can't explore anything, the loading times aren't horrible for pc users ( 5 seconds loading maybe ) and the two weapon swap is fixed, you can carry 4 weapons now. I don't think you can say Duke Nukem is a Call of Duty copy, that franchise is crap.

hi do you or anyone else know if you can get the achievment of beating campaign on insane difficulty by using the level select? instead of starting a new campaign and losing all your ego boost?

Why is everybody so obsessed about finding out how to do the tilt. it isnt hard to find for a start but you dont need it anyway. i've just got 1,013,250 and i never once used the tilt. it took me about an hour or 2 total to try and achience this.
