@@dukemeiser19the funniest part is that most modern pistols (including the glock) are actually heavily influenced by John Browning's designs, which includes the M1900 (real life M1899) and Fn model 1903 (real life high power from rdr1). So you're actually not really all that wrong. The glock is, indeed, semi-directly based on the real life M1899.

@@bambigaming1866 Hi, someone from the rdr1 community. The explosive rifle wasn't being modded into MP until recently, it was always obtainable when it was released from certain very specific gang hideouts, and then it was accidentally given to everyone from the last update the game every actually received and then hot fixed. The reason not everyone currently has access to it is because it takes a glitch involving an ethernet cable to "bypass" the hotfix so to speak. Even now that's the case. You can very easily tell who modded to get the ER and who glitched it by watching how much they fire it between deaths (if they're dying at all) and/or whether or not they can be killed. As for the mauzer pistol, that by far wasn't the scariest gun in mp. The bolt action is still better at close range if you're accurate enough. Don't matter how many bullets you piss, you aren't surviving a bullet to the face.

Easily the Mauser for me, you can get two of them by the time you're feeding the rich italian to the alligators. He throws one at John Marston in a cutscene, and you can come back and grab it from his mansion. You get the other from Billy Midnight.

In the first game my two go to side arms were the Semi Automatic Pistol and the M1899. But for some reason in Rd2 I can’t seem to want to use anything but revolvers. I either use my shofield revolver with my LeMat revolver or I use my twin double action revolvers.

The Mauser has the highest capacity out of any short weapon, and while dual-wielded in Deadeye, it feels like RDR1's (actual) semi-auto Mauser.

In the first play through i mostly played the volcanic pistol due to it being the strongest handgun in the game but then i realized how less i like the look of the gun and how it shoots. Now i fell in love with the schofield revolver. Most accurate handgun, does so much damage and also looks beautiful

I do love the Volvanic personally. Have them as my two handguns. One with express and one with high velocity. Not much stands in the way of them. Only downside is reload for me. That’s slow. But with accuracy, you have one shot kills, even without deadeye. I did go through a phase of one Volcanic and one semi automatic type, but couldn’t remember which one. That combo was crazy. Lots of bullets!

I wish they called it something like the “M1898 prototype” or something in the online just so we could still use it anyway. It worked for battlefield 1 where some guns that were added weren’t officially used during that time but still existed as prototypes so they got included anyway.

In my first play through I accidentally picked up the M1899 while on the mission that you attack the italian guy’s mansion and instantly loved it, used it until the last mission as Arthur where I used Schofields which I used for pretty much the entire game other then the first chapter and when I used the M1899s, continued too swap back and forth before my cousin told me about the lemats, the underbarrel shotgun gives me so much dopamine when I shoot a man in Saint Denis for no reason

I always thought the Volcanic was great back when I kept forgetting to bring a rifle along. Fully upgraded it was kinda like always having a carbine with you. Combined with the sawn-off and you’ve got the two basics covered without needing a primary. But once I got over that mental block, the first Semi-Auto became my favorite. Love the design and the toggle-lock mechanism

Indeed a fascinating piece of tech. The creators really struck gold by having the Pip Boy be a HUD element, a storage, a physical object and a sometimes important item all at once. It’s like a backpack that functions as a key. Also how do you sleep with it? Do you take it off? Depending on the model you can’t even take it off. Must be uncomfortable af to wear it 24/7. I can sleep with my watch, but imagine a clunky handwrist thing, 10 times the size.

I actually Hate the way the volcanic looks, the only Mauser I love is Billy midnights, semi automatic is good,m1899 is cheat codes on steroids that gun is just unfair. Me personally I'm a revolver guy but why did the m1899 get added to the game before the NAVY REVOLVER!?!?!?!?!

I really like the Volcanic Pistol simply because of the sound design and the immense damage but during chapter 4 I switched to using dual M1899s customized to look like Ebony And Ivory from Devil May Cry and I definitely don't regret my choice

My favorite thing to do with them1899 is go in dead eye, and empty both mags into some dudes “nether regions” and get the cinematic kill cam lol. That shit cracks me up everytime

Personally I like the Lemat revolver, you can't get it until chapter 4 but I love the shotgun feature and the gun itself is powerful enough.. it looks awesome after being customized too!
