Use it a lot, never have an issue . Good drop of gear. Give it a right good beat up,with a paddle , and it’s good to work with.

Great video, was just thinking of this. Can you recommend a decent primer/undercoat for brickwork? Also, on the side of the tin you get paint coverage, how much extra would you need since bricks ain't flat? I was thinking that when thinning out the paint, that would balance out the difference. Love the music ❤️❤️

We have dulux supermatt and dulux vinyl matt... Now the difference between these is day and night the supermatt is piss water compared to the vinyl matt and there almost the same price it makes no sense at all....

the worse ive used most recently was the dulux trade quick dry undercoat. ruined my brush with a days use!

Totally agree...all paint needs to be thinned down... its all about that flow factor... neat.. WTF.

How does it compare the the vinyl Matt?
@hithere30352 жыл бұрын
I always thin down the emulsion too. I mean 5 parts emulsion to 1 part water, it's not thinned down a lot but it makes a difference. The only reason it's not already thinned down is because Dulux would have to make the packaging (paint tub) bigger.
@glenwhyte25552 жыл бұрын
Unless they thinned down 10ltrs and then put it in a 10ltr tub then they wouldn't need to make the packaging any bigger 😉
@hithere30352 жыл бұрын
@@glenwhyte2555 No, because you'd be losing out on paint. If you thinned down 10 litres of emulsion with 5 parts paint 1 part water, that would make the packaging 12 litres.

Don't you find mark that it flashes really bad when u do ceilings which there is a lot of different light sources 🤔

What is your prefered Matt brilliant white for cielings if you had to buy it yourself ?? I have never used anything other than Mcffersons (spell check). Also i was taught to do your finnishing roll in the direction away from the window if they are windows on only one elevation because the daylight is ius less likley to show up any imperfections !!!! I do know that the sun moves around but its something of a habbit ...not sure if it really matters but the person that told me was ancient !

Have to agree great stuff nice n flat , touches up easy no flashing even Macphersons eclipse better than super Matt
@leonmurray38462 жыл бұрын
So you would thin 10 litre tub with 1 litres of water?
@goleylla Жыл бұрын
2 litres of water added to 10 litres of paint gives the recommended ratio of 1:5 for normal use 👍🏼 Mist coat needs 3.3 litres of water to 10 litres of paint, 1:3.

Funny how we all have our goto paints, I wouldn't touch Dulux with a bargepole my choice is Johnsons Coverplus

My go to is tikkurila Anti Reflex White best you can buy for celings.

@@jsj381 Decent stuff indeed but i doubt many bosses will supply their blokes with that for house bashing unless high end work.

Supermatt is shite , sealing new plaster use Armstead contract Matt it’s half the price . Posh jobs I won’t use anything other than Dulux ultra Matt on ceilings , even crown covermatt would be a better choice than Supermatt.
