one of the biggest reasons why i want to pursue learning Japanese is to be able to enjoy and experience all the light novels that are never realized in English and also get them as they actually release not years later

Lots of people talk about how it's not very well written, but being well written doesn't guarantee a story is enjoyable and the show was enjoyable for me (the dub at least).

I personally hated the main relationship. The male MC and the pink haired girl had a better connection between each other. They should have been the main couple, but the terrible trope of tsundere female mc's was strong back then to the point that there was no logic in the writing.

I was so upset that there was no season 2. The DUB had me dying every episode and I ended up binging it in one night.

I LOVED this anime and thankfully, I stumbed across a fan made audiobook version of the LNs. It's not the normal fantasy/action/isekai/yuri I love, but that story hit for anyone who has been a gamer from a yound age.

I'm really interested in reading light novels but sadly all I can get is digital versions.. every manga/light novel fan likes reading and collecting the series they love.

I get the appeal behind Gamers, but it personally wasn't for me. The whole continual misunderstanding trope and extreme mental gymnastics they go through every time is pretty funny the first few times, but as it doesn't really expand beyond that it starts staling with each passing episodes and I got really bored by the end. It's kinda similar to the problem people have with Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie - a cute/fun gimmick is great, but without much break or switch up it wears out its welcome very quickly.

TBH, this is probably the most realistic representation of dumb teenage hormones that I've ever seen. It's exaggerated of course, but not even by that much.
