This was a wonderful project that took some skill and tons of hard work!! We are thankful to have this equipment that helps up manage the property. This was done on a beautiful day and our drone footage shows the beautiful spring colors that are coming in. We have a big list of jobs that are needing to be done and we are exited to share it with everyone. Help us get to 20K in subscribers and also dont forget to check out our other channel that is more (VLOG) style ‪@MountainMaplewithaSideofranch‬
Thank you ALL have a wonderful week from our home to yours!

Good drone footage Ola. That Marc is very handy. He makes excavator work look like it’s alive and part of his being. Enjoyed this very much.

It can be absolutely mind-boggling how much poop can be in a pen from just a few cows. When Mark backed up the hill with the drone footage. You could really see how much elevation you guys have to deal with. And the skill that Mark has with that excavator is incredible.😊

You two are a great team. I like how you compliment each other, you just don't see or hear that enough these days. My Family had 12 head of cattle, more of a hobby farm and chickens and rubber boots and poop...lol...yes that was was funny "pockets of poop". The excavator skills are second to none, job well done. Backing up the mountain was risky enough, and I can assure you without a doubt, if I was driving I would have pockets of poop to.🤣 Great video and we'll see you in the next one.

One cow will eat between 50 to 120 lbs of feed per day and all that feed is processed to out put per day. So not a surprise on the output pile. We used to run 65 head of dairy.

Job well done. Cows and poop. It’s unbelievable how much slurry comes out of their byres over winter. Thank goodness you have only four there right now. Hope the hoof heals well. Great digger work. Loved the bucket by the blade move.

It sure is obvious Mark that you have many years experience in heavy equipment operation. because anyone who can back up around your property like you do is a pro. with brass balls I might add. If I could back up heavy equipment like you my but cheeks would surely be bighting out chunks of seat foam. 💞🙏

You guys need some good heavy duty overalls for working on the farm so you don’t have to worry about getting your street clothes so worn out and dirty. You might want to consider getting yourself some good Carhartt overalls they’re really good quality and a good investment because they’ll work hard for you. 😉👍 By the way, you guys had a real good workout today but it looks like you got a lot done. Keep up the good work..!😊

You have that same beautiful black soil Heath does. For those of us who garden and use maple leaves as winter mulch, you have a gold mine there. Hundreds of years of leaves have decomposed and leave that rich black soil. You should do a NPK and Ph test on it.
@MountainMapleRanch
@MountainMapleRanch 2 ай бұрын
I have a little probe/meter made by Burpee (I think) and it shows Ph level and “Fertility” that works pretty well but isn’t quite as thorough as an NPK test. According to that meter, our “fertility” is low side of ideal and our Ph on average is around 6.0-6.5 which, I believe, is a little neutral for a lot of plants. I would like to NPK test it to know more precisely what the soil needs to be spot on. I just haven’t gone and bought a kit yet.

It’s simply more efficient to back up. I would have to make a 2-3 point turn at the bottom to drive up to the shop and then another 3-4 point turn around there to back up the rest of the way… Just much easier/faster to pull ahead at the bottom and back all the way.
