Howdy, y'all! My name is Mike and I absolutely love scavenging for free stuff, random treasures, lost valuables and other interesting artifacts. I mainly rock the dumpster diving scene but can be found digging through trash curbside as well as scavenging the river bottoms for lost treasures in the summer months. Join me on my epic voyages!

In a nutshell, I ‘m an avid dumpster diver, scrapper, picker, treasure hunter and underwater connoisseur. I prowl the city streets in search of dumpster loot, curbside treasures & scrap metal as well as scour the river bottoms for lost valuables during the summer months when I can scrounge up enough money for gas. Hey Mike. I`m new to this internet thing, had no no idea so much video on it. In regard to the quantity, quality, & variety of items you find, you must be in an area of business & industry different than most others. What I like is your imagination, curiosity , consideration for others & heart of gold. Almost every trash pile or dumpster you have a question which I think is great. Why is this trashed ? what`s this for ? wonder if this works?, can I fix this? who will give me a couple bucks for this, these boxes are full of broken glass, I`ll sort out the good ones, I`ve got a friend can use these for repair parts, a group down the road is having a sale I`ll donate. My wife would like this, maybe I`ll keep this myself. You must have found a young lady with these similar traits & very likely patience with you. I hope you two deem it necessary & well deserved to have time together for a little R-R & I , My wife & I did, soon be 67 yrs married. I have 5 hobbies to pass the time, but Thank You for the entertainment you provide.

Mike the bottles at 8:30 have a septum seal on them. This is similar to a vaccine bottle which you can stick a needle into in order to fill a syringe. In the case of these bottles they probably have a sample of waste water, “product”, crude oil or any number of various liquids that someone wants analyzed for composition, quality control or whatever. Look out for jars that have acidic preservatives preloaded in them, it can be pretty strong stuff.

Yeah they're definitely sample jars. Dopak makes all shapes and sizes for the medical and chemical industry. Looks like the shipment got banged up pretty bad and they were thrown out just as a safety measure. There is so much wasted money and materials in the chemical industry. Awesome job saving and possibly re-appropriating those Mike!

Perhaps you should bring a small step ladder with you from now on...would help with getting in/out of dumpsters as well as reaching in taller dumpsters to get stuff. Love your vids!

Saw some RG59s in there too. BNC connectors are going for about 4.50 to 6 bucks each (735 - 75 Ohm). RG59s are going for about 40 to 60 cents each. ADC is an older brand of BNC that I don't think is mfg. anymore. Milestek & Trompeter is what we use here. You can still get the Amphenol brand of BNC pretty cheap, but they are old style as well.

the business most likely broke the boxes of glass so no one could try and snatch it up and it cant be recycled so they put it in with the trash dumpster. businesses do that all of the time all over .

Those glass bottles look like biochemistry media prep stuff. They have autoclavable bottles like that with Teflon caps, I believe that's what you're looking at. Those dont look like septum caps, but I could b wrong about that.

at 2:19 there is a wooden cable spool. see if you sand them down stain or varnish them people buy them as coffee tables. ive seen the bigger ones sold as garden tables. they are a good way to make a lot off money for nothing.

8:18 Called a septum cap. Place a growth medium in jar and inject bacteria or mold samples through the cap.

The second bottles you picked up in the reveal looks like it is about a quart or liter...the brown spot in the cap is to use in injecting something with a syringe. The bottles are originally sterile, no doubt. Likely the "donor" was a lab of some kind. Those small straight sided glass tubes look like specimen containers used with a machine like seen on Oak Island last night. The tubular motor is used for roller conveyor systems to power a small section, either singly or in sets. Great for stop/start light production lines. What is the voltage? AC or DC?
