As soon as the previous owner said "It doesn't run, we don't know why", and the timing belt was off, I felt sus.. strapped in for the rebuild on this one!

I think for the crank sensor, you can use a DSM 7 bolt sensor and it should work. 95-99 Eclipse GSX you should be able to use the crank sensor from. Stoked for the Evo 4 build!!

thrust bearings, are the only reason crank-walk happens, when you rip it apart show the bearings the OEM thrust bearings were trash in those EVO 1-4, they were also bad in certain eclipse's, I had to replace thrust bearing in mine it had crank-walk, and she is good as new

62 housing definitely too big for the spoolie boiiii. My 6466 is dumb loud on my sti just idling. I have a couple sound clips on my channel for reference.

Are you using the stock oil pick up for the STI？I believe that spacer is for stock oil pick up on that aftermarket pan

Crank walk was the issue with all these motors... eclipse's were notorious for crank walk ( same motor)

I have a couple of them, with proper oil changes never had one walk. I have the most notorious block made early 95 no walk, change oil often.

4g64 is nice for the extra displacement but can't rev it too high, why not build a 2.2, extra displacement and still be able to rev it high.

building it the way it should be from factory, bravo but good luck finding a 4g64 short block as new, you have a better chance pulling a junkyard motor and going thru it and have it re-done these engines are becoming impossible to find, unless you get a 2.4L eclipse spyder as parts car

Compressor housing internal diameter is bigger than the 5858 compressor wheel so you got a gap going on, basically your losing hp.

Personally if I was you I would look around for tme evo 6 lancer because they are a lot more aggressive and you would probably fall in love with the interior because it's black with red stitching and they are actually considered a collectives car
