This short 20 minute dynamic workout is filled with a combination of cardio, strength and ab exercises to burn fat and boost metabolism. This workout is all standing, with no floor or mat exercises. All you need is one set of dumbbells between 1-5 pounds. Total step count today is 1350 steps. The strength exercises will get your heart-rate pumping to give you a great calorie burning workout.
The plan for today:
2.5 min warm-up
2.5 min ab exercises
10 min cardio with strength
2.5 min ab exercises
2.5 min cool-down
and finish with stretching

6/5/24 Jules I know I am going to pay for it in the thighs, arms and chest with 5lb weights. I haven't done this since in my 20's and what a wonderful workout. I made it thru only because of you smiling and your therapeutic keep going music. Sweating and then laughing when we were done. I am forever grateful for your generous spirit and kindness extending to all of us trying to get in shape or stay in shape. I have been sleeping better since I found you again. I remember your first one I did a while ago Mamma Mia and loved it. Stay safe and healthy.

Fun and challenging workout. I used two 3 pound weights and it began to feel much heavier. I was not about to give up and I completed it. Loved it and many thanks!!

You lured me in with that beckoning tapestry...opening onto a palm tree against the sunset...and then you got all tricks-y with the balancing exercises... I'm stronger on one side than the other, so I'll continue to work on my balance---and just keep at it!

The first word that came to mind upon hearing the music was DYNAMIC -- maybe I speed read the description of today's workout! @@ImprovedHealth yes have tried those 2 workouts. These is quite intense. I only do 1 workout per day. After the workout, I do an easy aerobic workout to so I have almost 1 hour workout. Love the way you explain the modifications on the workouts. These help a lot! ❤️🙏

I'm so glad to read that you're doing the all-in-ones since there are so many beneficial exercises in them (compared to cardio alone). It's a great feeling when we can feel the muscles the next day (as long as we're not too sore!). It says you definitely worked the muscles:)

This is my new favourite resistance training workout! Last week the weights I used were too heavy! This week I adjusted to 2 kilo and still found it challenging but definitely doable. I love all the different moves with heel raises and balance exercises. I am a big fan of the shorter but intense workouts, thanks once again Jules.❤

What a brilliant workout this is, such a great way to challenge the body! As for balance, mine has improved a lot since I started raising the free arm during quad stretches, such a good habit to get into! Thank you yet again, Jules 😊

Loved this, adding 3 pound weights got my heart rate up without jumping which is important for me because there is an apartment below me. I do classic dumbells workouts several times a week with heavier weights. I love the idea of using lighter weights to rev up cardio so it can stay jump free and still get a great workout. Thank you!

Ooohhhh done a lot this week ..arm strength twice, one being yestetday, so decided do this before lower body strength and had drop weight size lol thus is without a doubt one your hardest but best. It hits the areas....my arms r burnt out in a good way. Happy weekend all ❤❤

I absolutely loved loved loved this workout. I have done many starting at chair due to concussion and have moved on to intermediate sessions. I never thought I'd do intervals but I love them too. Thank you for giving me my mobility back and balance. Still suffering concussion symptoms 10 months later but I can now exercise in the safety of my home and get an excellent workout. This is my favourite so far though. Just wish it were longer so I'll do it twice. Thank you so very much

I am absolutely sweating a lot. That was spot on..... Quick.. Hard but challenging. I started wifh 6lbs..my weights are in kilos. I dropped to 4lbs and just managed. Ive been lookin for a workout like this doing whole body wifh weights and viola ive found it. Will be repeating it on thursday. This one and the one u did last Monday are my go to. Apple for teacher today. Cant tell u how much i love your workouts xxxx

For me this is a "love, don't love" (not saying 'hate')... I love it that I could use my middle set of weights - not the lightest ones - YAY! ... and I don't love it because I felt awkward because it's new to my body - also YAY! Thanks so much for your work, Jules!

Good morning Jules i had a rest yesterday lol glad you have done a new one i found it hard but i did all of it I've found i can balance on one leg better than the other one i must be a bit weird lol as they say remember why you started this i feel a lot better today after my rest yesterday thank you again have a lovely day xx

It's very normal to be better with balance on one side over the other. If it's really noticeable, add a bit more time to the balance or leg exercises on the weaker side to make it work harder so it gains more strength.

This one is a bit more challenging and it's totally okay to put the weights down as needed. Using weights for as long as you can and then dropping down to a lower weight or no weight to finish the set is a great way to gradually increase strength.

Hi! I don't usually use a bell when we switch exercises (except during the stretching portion). I feel it takes away from listening to the music but I think I'll ask viewers soon on whether they'd appreciate a bell between moves. I do have strength videos with instruction if you prefer those. I put them all together in the playlists. Let me know if you'd like me to add a link for you.
