Episode 5 of Straight Skatin’ takes us to the Halifax Harbour Boardwalk along the wharf and among the shops and restaurants. On this trip I chose to skate in my Slades detachable rollerskates. I’m glad I had the option to detach the wheels because there were many challenging outdoor surfaces.
In this video you’ll see me roll on wooden boardwalk and bridge, cobble stones, brick, sandy concrete and stone tile. The only time I wasn’t able to roll was when the nails in the boardwalk were pushed up and the boardwalk was very weathered and gapped. Otherwise, it worked out to be a pretty great skate adventure!
