I agree! More scrap RC-10b1, 2 or 3, or RC-10t1, 2, or 3. I still run a 6 gear no stamp 1984 RC-10b1. All of the extremities have been upgraded and it's now brushless.

Man, I love it! I also had to build a back-to-basics short arm RC10 a couple years ago so that I could remember what it was like to drive this car. I'm rocking a 6-gear in that car. Very cool!! Anyway, I'm pretty sure you have a Turbo Mirage RCPS body - and it has held up incredibly well. You definitely have a vintage A&L (now Factory Works) ball bearing steering kit. I have a few of those myself. Yes, before moving on, please show us your "100%, made from crap from a box" RC10. I can't get enough RC10. lol

I was able to build my original Tamiya Wild One in the same way, now I have my 'original' restored Wild One and my Original 'made from a box of old original parts' Wild One too! And now I'm not sure which the Original one is anymore!! :)

You had to be careful with those old Airtronics receivers. They were the oddball manufacturer that had the positive buss to the outside where all other receivers had the opposite. Using anything other than the Airtronics servo and you had to switch the leads on the harness. If you forgot to do that you'd smoke the servo. Those were the days.

Yeah, I had to reverse those wires all the time when I swapped servos.

Can’t help on the body it does look like something Parma would have made though. However the steering looks like it was from a company called A&L (Alice & Lane if I remember what that stood for )

Yeah the steering is A&L and the body is a Mirage as it turns out!

I used to drill a hole in the side of my chassis and I'd hot glue the switch there. I could simply flip the switch by lifting the body a little bit and the switch is right there

Great looking RC10! I used to have a body that looked similar to that called the Sidewinder on my RC10 30 years ago. I can't remember if Parma or McAllister made the body.
