For those who were concerned for the feelings of the one who sent us the book, we received word that the giver was sorry about what was in the book and had missed that part. She also felt that we were right to throw the pages away. We are so thankful for her kindness and that she was not offended by our removal of the pages. Blessing to all who shared concerns.

Just a suggestion on the book that was gifted. Instead of filming your son tearing out psges, maybe just thank the donor and then explain how it violates your beliefs or standards. I am sure they meant no harm. It did come across in a very negative way.

I have been watching you all forecer, it seems. And I truly love your family! But honestly, I have to agree! If it's against your beliefs, then please state that in a positive way. And being a true Christian, you should know that this kind of behavior is unacceptable! You have to be prepared and handle this kind of situation, in a better way! But.....I do have one question. Why do you put garlic in with the strawberries? Just curious 🤔

@laracloud593 Thank you for sharing your thoughts. It is not easy to stand for truth and righteousness in a day when people call good evil and evil good. We didn't feel right about promoting a book without exposing the evil hidden within it's beautiful pages. We stand for truth, transparency, and righteousness according to the Word Of Yahweh. Wickedness should never be glossed over or made light of, but rather exposed for what it is and rejected. We can only hope that the giver of the gift understands that we are thankful for the kindness, but firm in our rejection of evil. We plant garlic in with our strawberries because we learned years ago that they are good companions and so far so good. 🙂Blessings to you.❤

Thank you for sharing the joys of your older children. I started tearing up because I know what you are saying. We don't cover our strawberries, but we do add compost to them when we can. Most of them survive in our zone 6b. I have heard that if you cover them for the winter, you want to uncover them in the spring because they need air and sunlight once they start to grow again. Hope you find a system that works for you. Good morning 🌻 Your blueberry crumble always looks delicious. I’m so looking forward to watching your Kitchen Garden Grow. Esther you and your Mom have the gift of a green thumb and I’m so looking forward to tips you can give us on growing herbs . Your Herb Circle is a blessing that you can share with us . I have a question: do you use neem oil as a natural pesticide ? My husband built a small garden bed . It has radishes , tomatoes, cucumbers and okra. The plants are small but doing well so far . We used the direct sown method ( except for the tomatoes) . We live in a subtropical climate with no harsh winters . However a big problem here can be insects. Love all the Spring Blooms . You’re very welcome. Plant the seeds as needed. Happy Birthday to Nathan . Thanks for sharing the adorable Goslings . So very cute. Carrie , in the future can you share in a video the staples you keep in your pantry that you use for the healthy recipes you make . Just asking because if I remember correctly you asked is there any subject we would like to see in future videos. Have a wonderful blessed day ❤

Thanks for sharing Donna. We do not use neem oil as a natural pesticide, but rather approach pest control from the angle of encouraging predatory bugs and focusing on soil health for healthy plants. We use flowers to attract beneficial bugs and use comfrey tea and compost to boost soil health. We have used bug netting at times on brassicas as well. Hope you have a wonderful blessed day as well.❤

Also I understand the decision to tear out the pages. We got where we’re at, as a trash culture of death, by letting every little thing go, always too scared to offend. I don’t think it was mean toward the giver, just standing for Truth. What if everyone stood up and spoke against the constant offenses to the Creator and his creation!

Our family size is about the size of yours, I would love an idea of how big of an area you have for your garden. We are in our first real year of gardening on a larger scale (we have had small gardens in the past) but honestly do not know how big of a scale we need for our family and since our family size was similar to yours I would love some suggestions. Blessings!!!

This is such a good question. Our goal is to eventually have about 2500 square feet of annual growing space for both human and bird food production. We are 10 years in and adding garden beds every year. This growing season we are planning on growing our annuals in about 1000 square feet of space, doing succession planting to make use of all the space at all times. We have a long way to go to reach our big picture goal, but each year we learn more and are so thankful for what our Heavenly Father provides. Starting small has allowed us the time to learn what works and what doesn't, so in some ways, I'm glad we didn't have the finances to go big from the start. Blessings to you and your family.❤
@DSonthehomestead

@@1000sofroots Thank you so much for your reply! I think what you said is so wise about not jumping into starting too big but taking time to learn as we go. We are in Douglas County MO and the rocks here have been interesting. We just got a truck load of dirt delivered to hopefully build up the soil since we are not able to go down into the soil much before hitting tons of rocks! We are in our second year here. Last year our chickens got into our garden and ate everything. This year we have their hoop coops in a large chicken yard so they are not getting into our garden and eating everything. Such a learning curve but we love it here. Blessings to all of you!

Some Catholic schools, growing up, refused to allow anything to do with Harry Potter or Pokemon. The diocese left it up to each parish to decide. No one ever explained to me why tho. It would be cool if maybe Kip could do a video explaining why these types of things are against Christianity? I think many of your followers would love the biblical perspective & verses!
