if you want to preserve the fence better, make a lot of strips of wood, measure out on both sides where the wire touches the wood notching out a shallow groove for the wire, then weave the wood strip into the fence, it keeps its rigidity and is a visual deterrent for the animals.

Two questions: Do you need to put battens on the vertical boards that are behind your newly installed electric components? There seems to be about a half inch opening that water can blow into the barn. Do you need to protect your wires, which are not in conduit, from wire chewing rodents? Maybe just a cabinet around the control components.

Maybe even go so far as to put a "drip cap" hanging out over the electronics as well.

It would be a lot of fun to see a collection of bloopers and retakes as I'm sure you have a ton of them you have to edit out.

I’m super excited about this new energy solution and how you utilize it moving forward. Btw- if you want to get rid of all of those dust bunnies on your camera sensor, try shooting at your lowest aperture, f1.8 or as low as it goes….and watch those dust spots disappear. This works best when capturing things further away like the sky.

LEON! Of course, at the end, so dramatic. Good to see my old friend! Had started to wonder where you had gotten to. Little staycation for my man, I dig it. I said it before and I’ll say it again, LEON!

Josh, I am curious as to how you keep the battery above freezing temperatures in the Eco System unit you installed? Does it have a built-in heater so that you can charge it when it's below freezing temperatures? Very simple but, expensive system.

Batteries are self heating "Self-heating: With built-in auto-heating, you can use the batteries safely in temperatures as low as -4°F." Lower temperature may need box

Enjoyed your video, as usual, but I have a couple questions. 1. It appeared that you installed the batteries and controller on a outside wall. Do you have any concerns about water coming through the slat wall? 2. Will this unit operate with gfi receptacles ? 3. I see you ran 12 gauge wire, is this because of line loss or breaker size? Thanks again for sharing.

Gotta admit, I'm kinda a nerd like Josh. I remember when we lived in our second house, there were ceiling lights in the basement each with its own pull chain to turn them on. I was able to figure out how to wire them all to turn on and off with three-way switches. I was very proud of myself! I really want to install solar panels on our house to get off the grid as well. We live in the city and there are restrictions but, I think I really need to look into it.
