Easily Add TPMS To Your Car With An Android Stereo and This Kit

It's easy to add TPMS to an older vehicle as long as you have an Android Stereo. In this case, I installed the setup on an ATOTO A6. The hardware is available from various manufacturers is all pretty much the same. You can use an easy, bargain priced screw on setup like I did from Joying. The head unit I used is the excellent ATOTO A6, which is a super bargain for what you get. You can buy it here amzn.to/40bcOqs

The software comes preinstalled on the ATOTO A6 head unit, but it only works correctly with the ATOTO TPMS kit.

This is a GREAT idea... but what about your spare tire pressure? And what if your vehicle has more than 4 tires.... I drive a Dually pickup truck for example, and would LOVE this if it could actually monitor all 7 tires (that is including my full sized spare that's up underneath the truck bed and frequently gets overlooked and ends up flat or low after a few years time)!

how long it took for the sensors to learn? Installed all 4 in the garage and zero connection on any. I will take it for a ride tmrw. Still hoped to connect automatically

If I do an android upgrade but already have tpms on original car do I lose that functionality?

I have the same generation civic. I tried installing a double din using a metra harness and now the cluster light no longer work when the headlights are on. There are no broken fuses and the cluster light only work if the headlights are off. I have since removed the double din but the oroblem still persists. Any ideas?

Not sure. That's a weird one. How do the cluster lights work when the headlights are off?

Hi I allowed all permission but still not giving me notifications when I exit the app. I have to open the app to get notifications. How do I solve that.?

The F150 can not be adjusted like that unfortunately. The tie rod ends have to be adjusted. In reality this needs to be done on an alignment rack.

I bought the similar sensors and software installed on my new Android car radio player from the USB provide. After installing all sensors on the wheels, then set up on the Android Player. The screen display ID Code to pair. I pressed that button and new display with 4 wheels showing. I selected FL tire and pressed the To pair button. It started paring for exactly 2 minutes then asked me to press START BUTTON to start. I did not find that START BUTTON on the display. So I could not complete the installation. Can you tell me what's wrong with me. I did not see that pairing in you video.

I never understand why these don't come default with 5 sensors, one for the spare tire 🤔

The sensors cost $30 today, but they used to be $300. That and, the wheel often has to be spinning before the sensor wakes up from it's low-power sleep mode, else the battery wouldn't last 5 years, so the spare would never come on and tell you it's pressure. Finally, the whole user interface would have to be re-designed for the 5th wheel, and that's the actual bottleneck, everyone writes terrible software.

All you have to do is switch it over to your spare when you rotate

@@Smashleytulsa That's an interesting idea, using the spare in part of the rotation. The internet seems to be pretty confident that certain drive-train layouts require certain tyre rotation patterns, and they never include the spare since they're trying to keep wear symmetrical. I wonder what the best way to do it is. Two spares? Not crazy. I can see that actually being a good idea for balance and security on an offroa or GT car.

@@cannaroe1213 AWD and 4WD require the same size tires to keep the drivetrain running at the same speed although some vehicles can be driven at lower speeds with a smaller tire on one wheel. Also, unless you buy a matching wheel for your spare you will have an odd looking combination.

@@Pro1er haha, thanks Pro1er, you're right, but when talking about wear it's not the original tire radius that matters, but what it ends up. If the wheels on one axel articulate differently to the wheels on the other, i.e. are/aren't driven by the engine, fixed/independant axel, different camber angles, this affects wear. AWD cars like Subarus have rotations where the fronts go directly back, then get crossed over when being brought to the front again, not crossed over every time like a FWD car. 4WD cars with a locked differential dont need rotations at all hehe.
