Күн бұрынThe MCU's continued box office domination has now extended to the small screen, as various television shows like "WandaVision," "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier," and now "Moon Knight" have premiered on Disney+ as a way to shorten the wait between movie releases. But just because the budget is smaller and the characters slightly well-known doesn't mean that there's any decrease in the various Easter eggs and comic book shout outs that fans so love from the films. In the case of Oscar Isaac's "Moon Knight," there's plenty to dig into, from the set design to the references to Egyptian mythology. jake appeared several times, with the new york accent slipping in, in the title scenes showing MK splitting into 3 faces, when mark blamed steven for killing the guys on the roof etc... mark was married and wouldn't have set up the date, the hints were there from episode 1. just goes to show oscar issac is a brilliant actor, you could see the changes between personalities with subtle shifts. it's a shame dark phoenix was... meh... i was looking forward to it, but he got a great second chance to play another marvel character.

Perhaps not so much a Marvel easter egg, but fitting nonetheless: the end title song for episode 5 (when Steven is lost to the sand) is a remix from a song originally in the soundtrack to an Egyptian movie of which the title loosely translates to "A night when the moon cried".

I guess Looper missed the part where Marc, while in the "asylum" and after having had chat with Dr. Harrow, comes back to Steven and Tawaret and says something like "on the other side of that door is Crowley shouting 'Bingo!'" (Which is exactly what Crowley is doing in the Asylum). Which is to say, that the gold man is Crowley didn't need to be confirmed by an outside source. It's confirmed by the show itself with that line. It suggests that either Marc is the one who is in contact with Crowley, or Marc knows who Crowley is because Lockley knows and has passed that subconsciously onto Marc.

I think Oscar had a lot of say in the show. Steven's accent was Oscar's creative choice, there is an easy to miss mention of one of Oscar's surnames, when Lalya gives Marc an alias with the name Estrada (if what I recall from Wikipedia is right, his mother's maiden name). I suspect Jake speaking Spanish is also based on Oscars background (Guatemalan).

a lot of people are pointing out different scenes and what not that hinted at Jake before he showed up, but y'all it was in the- well I can't remember if it's opening or closing credits now but they did a lot of still shots of stuff and there's a point where you see our boy with three faces in front of his head. Pretty sure it was showing that from the first episode

Layla "unexpectedly" becomes a superhero? If by "unexpected" you mean that the second I saw her for the first time on screen, I knew for certain she would become the real hero of the show and I was waiting for it to suddenly happen for the entire series, then sure, it was very, very unexpected.

Taweret's reference to the "Ancestral Lands." Also, and this is a stretch: the psychiatric institute is named Putnam. The surname "Putnam" appears prominently in the Chthulu Mythos, and the Chthulu Mythos is inseparable from the concept of insanity.

The afterlife is also in Asgard-Vulhala and not forgetting in Dr Strange he has journeyed to many version of the afterlife there is a connection between the multiverse and afterlife a bridge reality and I think the other version's that aren't mentioned yet in the MCU or TV series alternative names to the afterlife?

I hated how every one else spoke normally when the gods spoke through them, but then conshu was shouting all awkwardly and weird. Also if the gods are all living together in a different dimension why do they need to talk to each other with avatars

I have no answer to your second point, but Khonshu shouting was probably put in as emphasis on how much of a dramatic fuck he is. It also contrasted Harrow's calm demeanor to make Khonshu's claims seem absurd while Harrow looked like the innocent guy who was being framed by his former boss. If one were to watch that scene out of context, you might actually be tempted to believe Harrow. TL;DR: Khonshu is dramatic, and some subtle cinematic language.

I think Layla could be the new Falcon. The bird aesthetic, the color scheme, and the use of the wings as a shield all felt very reminiscent of the Falcon. And since the Falcon just recently became the new captain america it leaves the title open for someone else

So is it wrong of me to think that Jake lockely IS the real personality? N I only say that cuz his childhood home of which he didn't leave til like early adulthood, was in chi town right? Well I'd you listen closely when we hear Jake say "Doctor" he def has a Chicago accent. And so that may be my only supporting proof of that this could be indeed factual. And we'll u know how each time mark or Steven wake up and are like "what did you do?! ........ That wasn't me!" But it begs a lot of question. Ya know? Like too many to count. But what if that's the s 2 plot like "Who indeed is Jake Lockely?"

All the alters of a DID patient are equally real. If you mean original before the dissociation, then you are wrong because his name as a child is Marc (that's what his parents called him). Jake doesn't show up to the audience until the post-credits of the last episode and he only speaks Spanish then.

I just started watching this series. I have two episodes left and I stopped watching to save them! The show is great, comedy and thrills, rare in the m-she-u! Finally they made great females characters, without treating the makes as clowns. I enjoy great females characters, I also love my main characters left alone, this show has both and its amazing. Imagine if they had a full budget for this! The story of the gods is great and enjoyable, adding a new level of culture and adventure! Great job for once!

I kinda find it weird that moon knight has a religion because Judaism of course has a monotheistic conception of God, meaning they believe "there is only one true God" and mark knows with confidence that that is not true, he's met a plethora of different, actual, gods. does he know/believe in the existence of the one-above-all and sees him as the "true" god (one-above-all is a character that is believed to have created their universe and he is also omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent), after all he is the closest thing to the Abrahamic god

This would have been good if Moon Knight was actually the star of the show. But it was bait and switch (business as usual for Disney Marvel).

@@chall3ng33v3rything Moon Knight was the co-star in the Leila and Punk @$$ Steven show. When he wasn't busy getting kicked around by Aurthur, and his (female) boss, Leila saved him like 11 times and was declared an avatar of Taweret. This show was not about Moon Knight. Moon knight may have had 30 minutes of collective screen time in the whole series.
