★Ingredients
■Tempura batter
1 tbsp mayo
75ml (0.3 US cup) cold water
40g (1.4oz) cake flour
■Tempura sauce
1/3 tsp dashi powder
1/2 tbsp mirin
1/2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp water

★About seasonings
--Substitute for Mirin and Sake--
If you can’t find mirin or sake in your city, you can substitute them like this👇
For 1 tbsp mirin use either:
1 tbsp sake + 1/2 tsp sugar
or
1 tbsp white wine + 1/2 tsp sugar
For 1 tbsp sake use:
1 tbsp mirin
or
1 tbsp white wine
It won’t be exactly the same, but still works 😋

Tempura is a versatile preparation. One that tastes great is chopped vegetables like cabbage, carrots, onions and, if you have them, a little small shrimp. Sometimes I like to add a little cornstarch to the dough to make it more crunchy. I think it's hard to have bad tempura, even goya should taste good... 😅(but I really like goya, for real). Curious and interesting the history of tempura 😁

Yum!! I used to live near a Japanese buffet and the tempura was my favourite but i thought it would be hard to make at home, but now I'm going to give it a go 🙌

The video feels so...therapeutic. love the love u put in the cooking. Big Hi from Portugal, I really love the idea to make the dish as an appetiser when my friends come to visit me. OOOOH I remember my mother making something like it in Mozambique, it was called Camarao Panado.

*Thank you* for showing a non-deep fry version!! I might give tempura a try again; I last tried to make it several years ago and it didn't come out very good.

I'm trying to eat healthy and for weight loss and of course for health and I think that Asian cooking is some of the best foods you can eat tons of vegetables and it still has that crispness to it in color but hot throughout your different flavors lower and salt fats I just love it thank you so very much for sharing this I did save it for myself and I'm writing out a list so I can buy these things at the store and where I go there's also an Asian supermarket where I can buy the Japanese rice I hope it's good I'm going to start off small and build myself to it the again thank you so much for sharing I humbly appreciate you and your kind soul Continue To Stay Safe Healthy Strong and Happy Many Blessings and Much Love-n-Peace 💜☮️💯❣️

Tempura is so tasty! But mostly I am jealous of your carrots! They're so large and nice; the ones in our grocery stores are as small as a marker or smaller =(
