To be honest, tofu is nothing at all like vegan cheese. I have tried it before and I am not vegan. Vegan cheese is similar in taste but the cheese is more bland and it is hard in texture.

Hi, thanks for the great recipes! I've only tried onigiri with furikake yet and it was too dry. I will try a few of your variations! Can you recommend something to use instead of bonito powder? Have a lovely rest of your day xx

Guys please do not think her clapping hands together is praying to Jesus Christ. I just saw a comment thinking she believes in Jesus Christ just because she claps her hands before a meal. That's wrong and very ignorant way of thinking. Japanese people usually always say thank you by saying "itadakimasu!" before eating in respect for the chef and for herself. Not everyone says it so sometimes they just clap and show appreciation that way. Also, your meals were very delicious! I enjoyed the teriyaki! Breakfast fish sausage was very delicious too! Some dinners are a bit expensive in Japan but some are affordable and I appreciate that! She is cooking for her husband so for left overs, you can leave them in the fridge and save them for the next day to save up on money. I wouldn't suggest being a pig and eating it all.

Hello, thank you for these great dishes, ❤ but the eggplant stir-fry sauce in the video has a lot more water than the list of ingredients says. What is correct now?😅 2:14

nice video, i've been making onigiri for a few weeks and i love it. I'm from chile, and we don't have many of the ingredients, but we have tons of seafood so i've been trying out the local fish and see what does or doesn't work. I have a question, do japanese people eat onigiri with soy sauce? i prefer the soy sauce to salt, but only a light coating, i mix sesame oil, soy, and rice vinegar in a small spray container and carry it when i make sushi rice

Mushrooms are not intented to be eated a lot and for several days ! It can be dangeous for your stomach ! 200gr/ week max ! And avoid to eat more than 2 days in continue.

If you want to use European rice use risotto rice, that’s meant to be very sticky (e.g. arborio). Other varieties might not be sticky enough. A lot of “Japanese” rice you find in European supermarkets comes from Italy anyway, might as well get the cheaper option.

I've never made onigiri, but I've made tuna/mayo sandwiches since I was young! Try with a little less soy sauce, but add a spoonful of sweet pickle relish, shake in some onion powder and paprika, and give a quick splash of rice vinegar. Then you'll have my signature tuna mix!
