This is one of the best local productions I have seen in my 68 years. Well done ! As a schoolboy, I knew Mr Manhin from his bookstore, his air gun store, and Speedwell car parts. This man should get a national award for his former business acumen, and his endeavours in bringing exotic plants to T&T. Chrisal, you are a true Trini. You speak well with no false accents, and no American mannerisms. Mark one for you ! I know and have tasted some of those fruits, thanks to Mr Manhin. Regards. R.R.

I grew up in Flanagin Town not too far away from La Vega. So many of my childhood memories were walking the road with my great grand mother who had her garden in La Vega. I especially remember "S corner" on the way and the roads flanked by Coco trees and coffee. The things we take for granted that we now treasure later on in life. Thank you for sharing a beautiful part of Trinidad that many haven't discovered.

Five finger are tart and acid, we make juice with them. Never had a sweet one. My mother told me about shaddock but I've never seen one

Chrisal, yes, growing up, five fingers were very sour. I was quite skeptical about trying it in this era, then I realise it's quite sweet. My mom made candy from the shaddock skin.

There is another fruit that was also called " five fingers" and these were thin long greenish-yellow and VERY acidic. Indian folks used to cut them and added to their pepper sauce. I do nit know any other no biological name fir this fruit. Trinidad & Tobago.
