I've watched a couple of your videos a while back. You're so enthusiastic! It makes me smile and lifts my spirits a little. I love how you called the eggs "jewels." Eggs are one of my favorite things to eat, especially soft-boiled ones with a creamy, melty yolk. So good!

Hi! I just made these soy eggs and had my first taste. I did dot expect to like it because I didn't like the taste of the broth however, when the hard boiled eggs are paired with the broth, the magic happens. Oh wow!!! They are seriously delicious! I put the eggs in the refrigerator so that the broth can macerate into the eggs more. I can't wait to try it! Thanks for another great recipe!

There are many chickens at my in-law farm so we have lots of eggs everyday. I usually cook the eggs and eat them lightly seasoned with a mixture of salt, olive oil and vinegar and sometimes oregano. My mother in law likes to make big glasses filled with boiled eggs preserved in water, salt and vinegar. I think she will like it very much if I bring her a glass with this recipe for 계란 장조림. Thank you for helping me find a way to peel the eggs without scratching them because that way they looks much more beautiful and yummy . Maangchi, you are the best.

Hi, Maangchi! I made Gyeran-jangjorim today, and I liked it very much. The combination of the soft egg yolk and firm egg white that the sauce was being gradually soaked was delicious. I believe that soaking speed of the sauce is very fast compared to other ways of "eggs in broth." It will be very helpful to me for the coming New Year's holidays, for Ramen, salads, or any other cuisine .Thank you. Ruri Take

+Maangchi Hi, Maangchi! I made Gyeran-jangjorim the day before yesterday. Soon after I made, I ate two of the five eggs because I could not resist my appetite. At supper I ate one, Yesterday in the morning, I ate one, which was in the dark amber. The last one I ate in the evening. It WAS really dark. ??? After supper I made another batch of Gyeran-jangjorim, and in your recipe I read "a cup of water." I found the reason why my eggs were gettig darker and darker so soon! I know it was MY fault. I am such a hasty person. That's why I got thirsty while I was cooking the another batch. lol Ruri Take Another batch went well, of course.

Maangchi If you take the eggs and set them long ways in the carton while they are warming up to room temperature you don't have to stir them around because the egg yolk settles to the center of the egg.

Molly Holly- ur only about 2 hrs north of us! We have family close to Cleveland. May i ask how you got interested in Korean food? I was born in Korea but grew up in Germany since age 7 and came to the US at 19.5 and heard Korean here mostly (not many Koreans in Germany) . I came across this channel because i was looking for Korean recipes explained in English as I don't know how to type in Korean for recipes. Luckily my American husband likes Korean food too! Anyway, nice to meet you!! :)

It's nice to meet you, as well! We have great Korean food here, you should come visit :) What a great story! What made you come to the US? I first heard Korean music back in 2009 then eventually a year later I tried Korean food in Columbus for the first time and was hooked, then I had Korean food in New York and became obsessed and now I make Korean food all the time haha & I got my boyfriend into it as well lol. If you want you can go ahead and add me on Facebook if you wish, my name is Molly Angel Lee :)
