+Chris Fuller it was buddy and its not. imho hub motors are king..this thing has driven me mad.. for half the price i could have twice the power from a hub, a quicker build and almost no drive train service issues im gonna do a mid drive v hub video next. gutted a serious error getting this kit..gonna try to sell it i think and put money into some bigger batteries for the hub drive! all the best.

i believe you can get an automatic motor now that doesnt require a chain.

hub motor.could be cheaper for you buddy.and its more portable.

It allows for a belt that provides a secondary gear reduction. This reduces the rpms hitting the drive train of the bike while increasing the torque. They likely chose to use a belt because it lasts longer than a chain, requires no maintenance and runs fairly quiet.

hello buddy.. there are custom ebike frames availabkle but no mass produced yet so they remain a bit pricey.. recommended power through cycle chains is around 2 kw so the gear train will suffer quicker than the frame usually.a good strong downhill mtb frame will be fine for most power levels[ mines at 6kw with a hub and shes doing fine 1800 miles later. you maybe able to find more specially designed frames being disscused and built on a forum called 'endless sphere"..maybe some one there can point you towards a specific frame.. good luck with ya build buddy. atb.

what would be good would be a high quality lightweight 3kw chain drive factory made ebike frame with heavy duty gears and chain design. the motor wattage laws might mean the factories dont have a good enough market to consider making them
