Yeah :X me too. By the time I was half finished with my ninjutsu video there were already people with better ninjutsu builds out there than mine and they were more popular than me so I didn't think my video would actually help anyone which was the reason I was making Nioh stuff at all. Probably should've still made it for the luls. Probably still could.

I used Nvidia ansel for any shots that were suspended in time and Cheat Engine for any moving gameplay that didn't have HUD anywhere. Thank you very much for the compliment I highly appreciate it.

I've been real busy with college video projects, but hopefully I'll be more active soon. I used a combination of cheat engine and Nvidia Ansel to get a lot of my shots. Nvidia ansel tethers you a little too close to the character for my liking but it does happen to freeze game time and allow you to manipulate contrast and colors in real time while you record the footage.

You don't have to unless you want to proc really easy with normal elemental shots. Gale shot along with select guardian spirit talismans are usually all you'll ever need to apply quick effects no matter what stats you have. However If you want Onmyo magic to be highly damaging then you want spirit/magic as high as you can manage. It mostly helps with applying elements faster but you can roll shot damage on gear(these will effect the element in general instead of the actual shot spell like it implies) and get some disgusting damage numbers as well. Its pretty easy to just do buffing/debuffing even if you have no points in onmyo magic at all however since the straight up debuffs get applied no matter what as long as they hit and buffing is fairly straight forward. If you're hurting for stat points and you still want the best magic you can milk out of your hybrid build you can try just putting on Hi-nezumi(The edgy fire rat) as your primary guardian spirit and/or Genbu (The not-so-ninja turtle) as your secondary and this can give you a pretty big boost to onmyo magic power especially if you aren't investing any points into onmyo at all. Hi-nezumi will also give you extra stealth so its works for being a ninja boi, and the unlimited onmyo chance can also be pretty substantial when combined with even just the effect on gloves.

You pretty much can't. You can get close to 50% chance to proc unlimited with a lot of time and luck with inheritable traits on equipment but it would honestly probably take less time to get the whole grace of tsukiyomi set from the final difficulty and just regen onmyo magics by going in and out of living weapon. Team Ninja doesn't like us mages.

It seems like it's based on the amount of damage though it seems to vary from source to source. It feels like elemental shots do more buildup when compared to the damage of elements on weapons though I seem to remember having an easier time applying elements on the faster hitting weapons. That's probably because the elemental build up does decay so if you're constantly hitting its always building up and has no time to go down but actually getting it to proc the elemental status effect is about hitting a certain threshold of elemental damage. I had a running theory that Onmyo magic power affects elemental buildup more than it does damage and certain jutsus (like elemental shots) just scale more with magic power but I'm not that much of a number cruncher so I never got around to testing it.

​@@Elfenshow Yeah it seems a bit all over the place with weapons. Ofc, the resistances of the enemy in question also matter. Though what's funny is I'm currently running a gunstick tonfa build and with just 35-40 magic (can't remember off-hand), if I land a devastation blast perfectly I'm applying scorch almost instantly. Once I perfect it I think with just a talisman of another element it'll be effortless to cuck Yokai bosses that can be burned. EDIT: it was with 99 magic, forgot I had switched some things around. So definitely a heavy investment. I do have one other question for you: How do you handle getting swamped as an Onmyo Joe? I'm not the biggest fan of LW and I feel like the game isn't built for large scale CC. With the amount of magic cap the advanced shots take I feel like you'd have to really specialize in it.

I learn new things everyday. Did not know about Steel canceling carnage debuff thats downright amazing. I used degeneration specifically with a Date Masamune wind damage build where with a wind talisman buff I was dealing more damage with the wind element than I was with my physical damage and found it to be a really fascinating way to play, Valid for late game play? Probably not, but it was the only use I could find for the talisman period. I hadn't seen anyone do anything good with hermit so I'm glad to hear there is a time and place for it. This is why I love Onmyo magic, if you're clever enough you can find a use for stuff that doesn't appear even remotely practical. Thank you for the information sir I might make a quick addendum video down the road if there's any demand for it.

Omnyo, especially confusion is something many players slept on, it's straight up broken and makes most Yokai a joke, gale shoots, tengu fans, guardian spirit talismans, weapon buffs, so many extremelly easy way to proc it, once you get the grace to recover omnyo items it's easilly one of the best builds in the game and with a ton of room for variation.

Fun fact, degeneration doesn't lower the attack damage of the ki burst talisman making them a great combo.
