Yeah unfortunately everyone seemed to suddenly stop making content just before the last update came out, so the PvP section of this video for instance is almost inert. But I'm really glad you enjoyed the content man :D. I still try to stream fairly often and I'm planning some content for the youtube channel before I end up thrown back into the editing dungeon at university.

Ok so unfortunately, Shadowround talismans don't work on onmyo magic anymore (the main reason why mine was so high). Part of some nefarious attempt to balance something that wasn't actually overpowered compared to some of the things in the final version of the game. Your best bet now to get your unlimited onmyo as high as possible is to inherit it onto other gear pieces from gloves. And then use Hi-Nezumi for the extra unlimited onmyo chance, and then you can get a fairly decent always active unlimited onmyo proc chance. Impossible to my knowledge to get it to 100% now, but hey its still good.

I'm able to apply Onmyo status effects on the majority of things with one shot as long as I have Genbu as my main or secondary guardian spirit. So it requires some modification, but it seems possible. I feel like they buffed the damage potential for onmyo magic considerably with the addition of the armor and accessory effects that increase the damage of shot types, if you combine them together on multiple pieces you can out damage weapons that aren't fine tuned. This was my first video where I actually talked and explained something, so I went at it all willy nilly so my nerves wouldn't take over and ended up leaving out quite a few details. I've also picked up some things thanks to people on the stream as well. I have indeed seen people in PvP taking virtually inconsequential amounts of elemental damage, so I guess it isn't exactly top tier :P. But thank you very much for the comment.

Well it no longer works on onmyo magic unfortunately. Team Ninja decided that having an onmyo magic intended to buff onmyo magic just made too much damn sense so it only affects builds that don't need it like ninjas and bow builds. But it used to last quite a while.

Yeah for some reason alot of the video makers for Nioh seemed to all immediately stop making content at around the same time, which was before the final couple patches came out. For me its just because I've been lazy and depressed for no reason. I think some mysterious will in the universe just doesn't want Nioh to have the internet content it deserves. But regardless: The final set bonus of the grace of tsukiyomi is what allows you to regenerate onmyo magic by exiting living weapon, since it is so easy to enter and exit living weapon using onmyo magic it essentially gives you unlimited onmyo magic to a degree. Shadowround talismans do indeed not seem to work for onmyo magic anymore, someone in the comments said that it still does with an extremely small chance of success, but I couldn't get it to proc even after casting with it on hundreds of times. So if you want the unlimited onmyo proc you have to do it the old fashion way and try to inherit unlimited onmyo from gloves onto every other piece of gear on your person. That is essentially the only other way to technically gear yourself for onmyo magic, which most people in Nioh equate to building in its entirety. In the end game if you want to maintain an onmyo build 99 magic and spirit are musts because it gets harder to proc elemental status effects on things later but the magic stat makes it easier. Spirit affects the onmyo magic stat slightly and affects the damage that your guardian spirit talismans deal. It also improves living weapon health and damage and gives you more options generally speaking when it comes to the passives of guardian spirits. Living weapon + extraction talisman is one of the most survivable set ups you can utilize early and late game. I certainly wouldn't level it first since many of the improvements aren't just huge but it does have a multitude of uses.

@@Elfenshow Thank you so much! I just finished the game, but I was still confused about guardian spirits. I don't really use Living Weapon anyway, but when I do you can recharge it really quickly as an onmyo mage lol!

Also, I don't really see the need of using living weapon against enemies, when your onmyo does a shit ton of damage. I would rather spill my points in magic and another stat scaling with your weapon.

If anyone interprets "I love being a mage" as "I love being a asshole", then yeah that's pretty much why plus explosions lol

lol, Onmyo magic can be pretty dern fun that's for sure. PvP unlocks after you reach a certain point in the story I believe, I think its when you unlock the tea shop after completing the spider castle, which is also the answer to your other question, the tea shop allows you to buy transformations using glory as currency that make you look like characters you have defeated/finished questlines for. As a nice side note to that you can also take some of their helmets off by making your head slot invisible in the game options.

Ok thx, kind of just found out before you replied. Wondering if shadowround still affects casts? And are their any upcoming patches or are devs done patching? Cause I've only recently got the game as I've said and trying to find builds that aren't too badly affected by the current patches

Shadowround talismans no longer work on onmyo magic because Team Ninja is classist and for some reason thought it was necessary to make an onmyo buff only effect ninjas and ranged builds. I Also think they're basically done patching the game in terms of overall balancing, they might come out with a few more patches for PC to fix some of the performance issues they are still having but otherwise I think the patching is over.

I'm still seeing issues on PS4, namely the connectivity for co op. A lot of people I summon are teleporting and causing all the mobs and revenants to teleport to. If they're from the states it's usually ok, but connecting to people in other countries is crap especially England for some reason. They dc from my world after a few minutes. Also I think shadowround does, but isn't that noticeable with unlimited onmyo gear perk. I wasn't wearing any unlimited onmyo gear and it was kind of working around 5 or 10% I think, my shots didn't go down sometimes. But yeah it's weird that it doesn't work better for onmyo even though it's a onmyo spell and it makes ninja and rifle builds godly OP. Recently saw a few videos of rifle builds they look fun, but unlimited ammo gear plus shadowround is stupidly ridiculous. Oh I'm wondering something about the first dlc, does it really end after defeating Maria the first time or did my game bug?

And btw omnyo and kunai two range builds you guys dont like dying to much XD!

Make sure that you're not just being forced into living weapon by hitting 0 hitpoints (suzaku or the last great general set bonus). That purges all active buffs as of the last patch, which would include the extraction buff. My test with the PS4 and PC versions I went into living weapon manually and still got amrita to come out of human enemies by just smacking them with anything.
