yes, the same also counts for the fireball ninjutsu, I'm pretty sure (but not 100% ) that it also goes through the guard of an opponent.

Swords are weak against oni-bi if you don't have the momentum. But w this talisman, it makes very short work of em. You still reap all the benefits killing oni-bi too.

Heyo, glad you found it helpful and enjoyed it. In the video I was using the Dragon sword. When you have the full dragon ninja set bonus it unlocks the true potential of the sword and the blade as well as the jewel in the pommel glows. Since there aren't any actual onmyo set bonuses until the LITERAL END GAME I usually use the dragon ninja set because it boosts the damage of the katana to very respectable levels even when you haven't really built for it. With early onmyo I would say rely less on it putting out any damage worth anything with spells and focus more on buffing/debuffing, though your elemental shots can really hurt enemies that are otherwise hard to kill with melee. The main weaknesses of early onmyo is that nothing lasts terribly long and its hard to apply elemental effects quickly, so you have to act with a bit more expedience than you would with a high magic score. So you might see better early utility out of healing buffs and stamina buffs. Sloth and weakness talismans save lives too, and they'll start lasting super long with a high magic score. Another good thing to do is attune some quick-change scrolls from ninjutsu to help you out, good for all builds really. The road of the onmyo mage is long and actually pretty easy, just don't get so caught up casting stuff early game that you die trying to use it in a fight, that'll be easier later when you get the mystic arts. @@Elfenshow thanks for the reply.do you have a stat spread for the beginning? Is the spirit stat important ? And finally what is the armor set (look) you wear. (White with black. I am a former ninja and playing an anmyo battle mage looks very exciting to me .

@@stefioux Spirit mostly just affects guardian spirit bonuses but does affect your onmyo magic power stat a bit as well and improving your guardian spirits does improve the guardian spirit talisman. Spirit can be a good early alternative to just pumping something like magic because guardian spirits can be useful in a general sense no matter what build you make. The white and black heavy armor I wore was The Armor of the Rising Sun which gives you a plethora of bonuses for absorbing amrita which is easy to do often as an onmyo mage and if that isn't the one you're talking about for most of the video I wore The Last Great Generals armor as a refashion. I'm not sure about a detailed stat spreadsheet I think the closest thing we have is the Stat calculator that fextralife has, which incidentally was the closest thing the fextralife got to being useful during my runs of Nioh. If you're ever having too much trouble just let me know and I can co-op with you on PC or PS4.

It's the final boss arena for the final DLC. It's a pretty swood place and when you beat the final boss as long as you don't deal the killing blow you can just sort of hang out and enjoy the cosmic ambience.
