Im looking forward to your audio setup. I've been using blue yeti + obs reaperfx plugins (for 10 years), but I like the lavaliere mic better. never worked with the preamp either. appreciated

Sr. Fox, very useful video. Absolutely helpful in order to save some $$ while purchasing one option vs the other. Even 2nd hand ElGato Cam Link is double the price of Ezcap. I just bought Ezcap to try it on my Panasonic Lumix TZ70. Very good camera but old for regular webcamming. I hope to use it as a webcam as soon as I receive my Ezcap Cam Link. I didn’t, seem identical in everything I did except the QuickTime issue. Admittedly I didn’t test into OBS much since I don’t use that program for what I do.

Did you test for zoom calls? I have the ts4 + as well. The reason drops frame it's the fact the dock it's not reliable or a software issue ?

I really am not sure why the dropped frames when going through the TS4. Puzzling to me, doesn’t seem like it should be a problem. Didn’t try it with Zoom, just straight video capture. I would think an occasional dropped frame with zoom might not be a real problem. Still look pretty good to the viewer.

Thx. I have a Shure twin Plex t-48. That goes through a DBX 286s channel strip with some compression, deesser, and a little equalizer. Once in ScreenFlow I tweak it a little with some apple audio unit plugins to clean it up a little.

My Ezcap 331 cam link 4k isn't showing in OBS or Quick time player in MAC , Led light turns blue but no signals however it is working perfectly in windows. Any specific configuration is required for MAC ?

I think it might be from more attention to cropping. I used to shoot quite wide then crop down in post. Now I try to shoot as close to perfect framing as possible, so I can actually zoom in during the video if I want. Might be some better techniques in capture of the video as well. I not a real expert in this video stuff, but have learned a lot since that old video was made.
