Over the past few years, the jigging scene has changed dramatically and anglers are now targeting amazing big trophy reef fish like Red Emperors, Snapper, Nannygai on slow flutter style jigs with amazing success. So the jigs required to target these fish are commonly in the range of 80g - 150g and so the rod required is quite specific as it needs to have great sensitivity in the tip section to make these lighter jigs dance and yet still have the balls down low to handle incredible powerful fish like big Red Emperor etc. Gone are the days of using a short style jig rod and so we decided to develop what we consider the perfect jigging rod to do this task. After 14 months and 6 prototypes later we came up with the REEF JIGGER ELITE.
