Regardless of what people think of Abby, I really like this character. I've learned to love and understand her, but I don't forgive her for what she did the same goes for Joel.

It's interesting at this point to think just how alike Ellie and Abby are, but also how much they don't realize that. To me, the most fascinating story element to this entire midgame switcheroo is that the place Ellie's in right now mentally is practically where we pick up at with Abby. It's like a continuously flowing character arc that just happens to switch the person it's being conveyed through at the midpoint. Ellie was just about to go home and be forced to grapple with the fact that all this violence she enacted in her anger felt... hollow. It didn't make her feel better and the same applies for Abby. Literally the first few seconds of Abby's section of the game communicates this. Our introduction to her sees her waking up in shock from a nightmare and now when we pick back up with her on Seattle Day 1 she once again wakes from a nightmare. Killing Joel did nothing for her, just left her with the emptiness of "What's next?"

This is why I aleays say, this game didnt gave me what i wanted at all, but it gave me all i needed, please keep trusting the game, its dark, but it makes you feel everything. You are one of the few i have seen that understand what the game wants to tell, Owen is one og my favorite characters

I'm not surprised Manny spit on Joel's body. He also took it very personally as he was the 2nd Firefly guard who found Jerry's body with Owen.

Is funny how the entire part 1 of the story everyone put themselves on the skin of Joel when it was actually Ellie the one that matters the most, that's why 'left behind' was a thing,to show that Ellie was willing to sacrifice so everything she lost and everything she suffered wasn't in vain.(that's what Joel took away from her by protecting something HE didn't wanted to lose, without caring about what Ellie actually wanted.) The fact of Abby saying she'd wish to pass through the surgery herself is a prove of how alike Ellie and Abby are... It's also interesting that Manny was the other person next to Jerry's body besides Owen when Abby entered the room, saying he was probably the first person finding the body (potentially before he was completely dead) explaining why he couldn't help to spit over Joel's body in the next scene...

I feel bad for Alice that she was on her own during a storm when she was killed. :(

Hey Colette just a tip for you because you'll rarely have more than a handful of bullets to hand, and often need to take enemies like Clickers down fast, you want to spend any scrap you have on upgrading the damage output of weapons. Things like the Hunting Rifle can become a one shot kill on most enemies once upgraded. Absolutely loving your playthrough. I would also recommend taking as many breaks with gameplay as possible as it's a very tough game mentally to handle.

The little wrench in the lower right corner lets you know when you can craft something. Keep in mind what items are needed to craft different things. Molotovs and health kits require the same items, so you need to keep in mind what you will need more

It's funny how you went from so hesitant in the first part to this one where you're standing there like "bring it on!"

43:33 You tend to rarely look UP. As far as moving the cart, you already activated the prompt then you stopped for some reason. Then you looked at the body. So you would need to slowly walk to it again, and stop jumping on it. You can always click the option button and select "restart checkpoint" if you scew something up. You could have also gotten out of the boat along the way to pickup many things and go in to buildings, and you drove by it all. Even stuff under water.

Also people like to think Joel was a "saint" even beyond him killing Abby's father... when in fact Joel was a pretty bad person.. his redeeming quality was his faithfulness and love for Ellie and his daughter. >.> But is that enough to justify how violent and bad Joel really was? Probably not, and it was just a matter of time before he came across a group that would get him back. It's just realistic.

Not gonna lie if i had a daughter i would name her colette. Idk why but that name is just so beautiful to me I absolutely love your name.

Personally I believe that Owen may have been the only good one in the group and it was a tragic that he was killed. If you think about it Owen died the same way as Joel did, killed by someone he saved. Joel chose to save Abby, not knowing that she and her friends travel to Jackson to kill him. If it wouldn't for Joel then Abby would have been killed by those clickers and Abby return the favor by killing Joel like she planned. After Abby killed Joel, everybody else wanted to kill Ellie and Tommy but Tommy talked them out of it and practically saved their lifes and look what that got him, killed along side Mel. If it wasn't for Owen, then Ellie and Tommy would have been killed along side Joel. I believe that both Joel and Owen are good people at heart they both try to do what's right. The reason Joel chose to save Abby because he saw a person in need of help and the reason why Owen talked the others out of killing Ellie and Tommy because they came to Jackson just to kill Joel for what he did three years ago and to him it wouldn't make no sense to kill two innocent people who have nothing to do with what Joel did. Both Joel and Owen try to do the right thing and it would later on get them killed in future. TLOU is truly a sad series.

I find it interesting how younger people like this one want their character to be almost one dimensional and not complex. It’s like they don’t want the character to grow in any direction they just want what they want when they want it and if it’s not there… Then it’s “controversial”. You have to let the movie, the game whatever it is… Finish what it’s trying to finish. Let it say what it’s trying to say and then judge it at the end rather than hollering in the middle before the character has gone through the journey. Glad you stuck with it. Be patient.

This game made me feel every emotion, which doesn’t usually happen in a video game for me. As much as I love Joel, there was going to be consequences for what he did, and he knew this day could come, yet he did it anyway for Ellie. He also knows Ellie would’ve sacrificed herself for a vaccine, Marlene was right about that, though Ellie should’ve been asked.

Ellie having a choice is irrelevant. It's been evident throughout the series that Ellie would've chosen to do the surgery. Being denied the choice doesn't make Joel right or wrong. People saying the Fireflies were wrong for not having the choice matters not and people can't be upset about it. It's nonsensical.

I couldn't imagine a woman getting as big as Abby without steroids.

Abby killing Joel didn't affect me too much, considering the game came out many years after the 1st. Sucks jessie died but 🤷

I respect your opinions, but I have to say, I really don’t like Abby. Yes, Joel killed her father and yes there needed to be consequences for the Firefly base, but Joel got so much more than he deserved. Joel didn’t know that Jerry was her father while Abby heard Ellie begging for to let him live, but she decided to kill anyway. Also, her father was going to kill a child without letting them make a choice. Jerry didn’t even know if the cure would work. It was a complete gamble and Joel knew this and he had already lost his daughter once and was not going to lose another daughter. Joel isn’t some psychopath who killed Jerry to hurt Abby, he just didn’t want to lose his daughter again. Joel gave Jerry a quick death while Abby crippled and tortured Joel for hours potentially even after Joel saved her from certain death. Abby and her entire group attacked Joel while he was defenseless, outnumbered, and while his guard was down. What Abby did to Joel was much worse. They couldn’t even give him a fair fight or a chance to defend his actions to help them understand why he did it. Joel deserved at least that after he saved her life. Also, they couldn’t even tell him why they were killing him in general. Also, Abby doesn’t even care that Joel was important to Ellie, she was just expecting Ellie as well as Tommy to just move on and just forgive her and just understand why she did it. Nope, instead her and her friends just double down on their actions and just insult her to her face. they can’t even give her an apology or give any level of sympathy. Also, Abby tries to justify the murder of children. There are more things that will happen later on in the game that I will not mention because I don’t want to spoil the game, but they are just things that make her so much more unlikeable. I respect your opinions, this is mine. Please be respectful.
