Synopsis:
Cheng Shao Shang is a young girl who was forced to grow up alone after most of her family had to leave to fight in a bloody war. Thus she becomes stubborn and untrusting. She fends for herself in a town populated by people like her, who have been left behind by the war.
One day, a talented and powerfu general named Ling Bu Yi comes to the town - and falls in love with her at first sight. Ep 24 or 25. But it was worth watching. The war of words between the 2-1/2 men was great. Because the innocent Yoa was not ready for the big boy fight.

The 1/2 man is deeply suffering watching the other full ones, maybe contemplating how lucky he is to not have to fight them anymore. Just look how they silenced him when he tried to place a word 😂🤣!

I'm glad He Zhaojun & NiaoNiao had this talk. Shows that they've both matured, are fiercely loyal, and are on the same page. General Ling is amazing in this episode. He says things so concisely, but with profound impact. So is Luo Yao, what little he says. Can't stand Shanjian. He's grown up into an arrogant know-it-all. He deserves every comeuppance he gets.

I love the talk between those two as well. And I think after all the brutality He Zhaojun has seen, Lou Yao will be good for her and he's getting more back bone and he will need a strong wife to set the 2nd chamber on its feet. The Lou can't ever bully He Zhaojun as she's now a famous lady from a heroic family. If it ever got out the Main Chamber would lose face and that's there biggest fear/weakest.

LBY learn from his past mistake... also adapted the technique of lou yao to "catch" CSS🤣🤣😂😂 1st catch "the bird" b4 others have a chance then slowly tame her👌🏼👌🏼.. ahh! YS is too full of himself still didn't learn! So what else can he do to other than throwing some "words of knowledge " around 🤣😂🤣😂

Don’t know why they always let him “win” an argument. Ling Buyi could’ve said something like “you only get to live safely bc of a general like me” and then just punch him.

@@freckles_n_dimples AGREED! I would love for the Gen. Ling to say something slick, like "Do you think you will live long if you provoke the wrong military official?" I don't think the General should punch him, he is a distinguished guest at a wedding lol.

Thinking back on this episode, characters say some things so inappropriate that they verge on bad writing. The last time we saw He Zhaojun two episodes ago she told Shaoshang that having Ling Buyi was such a great fortune that she was greedy not to leave Lou Yao to her; straight after she'd chopped off her husband's head. Now she says Ling Buyi is vicious and ruthless? Hmm, mkay. And Yuan Shanjian. He's a teacher in Shaoshang's household, if he maligns her in public he's 1) shaming his employers (huge no-no) and 2) shaming himself as her teacher (almost worse than the blame one can put on her). Moreover, he's now at a wedding where the bride broke off the engagement to go marry a prince, and after cutting his head off last month is now back to marry again, while in mourning. I mean, if he plays the game of taking things out of context, he's saying things that would get him beat to a bloody pulp all around.

Yuan Shanjian was really a case of his emotions getting the best of him. Everything in his previously easy, careful, calculated, controlled life was upturned and in turmoil because of his overwhelming feelings for her, he loses his calmness and uses his words as daggers, that is his normal mode. He’s known for having a witty and cutting tongue. But this time he comes off like the world’s bitterest jerk. He is quite stupid as this of course does not endear you to your beloved, but you can really feel his frustration as losing her to what he feels are two inferior to him men. Ling Buyi of course knows why he is like this as he’s a man but anisotropic NN thinks he’s just a hypercritical nag like her mom. Zhaojun’s case is a bit of selfishness as in the beginning she was desperate to get Luo Yao back, of course she’s not going to say LBY is dangerous. However once she got her guy back, she feels nice enough to warn NN, especially since NN was acting so classy. So it’s not unusual behavior at all, only selfish normal human behaviors.

@@TheSmokey1523 I don't feel his frustration, he can hang for all I care, but he's still the champion of rites in this story and he just blatantly broke a million rules of decorum in two minutes. And Zhaojun? She was being overly emotional two days ago, but what's her excuse now? Why would she feel the need to point out to Shaoshang that marrying Ling Buyi is dangerous and scary? After pushing her to do it? When Shaoshang can't back away now? I'll tell you why, because the writers needed us to keep Shaoshang wary of Ling Buyi. We know that Ling Buyi is violent, but since this is a drama people tend to forget that because he's the male lead. But Zhaojun lecturing Shaoshang about Ling Buyi? That makes no sense.

@@StargrlAnnywz in the book it seems buyi did something to be sent to the outskirts of life. Shashong thought he was dead and got betrothed to douchebag brain. But Buyi gets her back. Or something along those lines. But that is the novel.

Yuan is quite a know it all jerk who always looks down on everyone else. Let's hope this idiot gets mature in the future and be a good friend to niaoniao. Although he has a poisonous tongue but his words does carry some truth in it. Niaoniao needs to improve herself immediately if she wants to survive as a mistress in a noble family. She can't always depends upon on her luck or ling buyi to deal with powerful opponents of royal family.
