At the beginning the cars still coming through on the roundabout was shocking. The last one blue focus must have jumped the red as well. There's really some a***holes on the roads
@vagnerrr2 жыл бұрын
Sadly very common in the town. Light timing on the roundabouts tends to favour jumping the lights otherwise you get stuck on the roundabout lights as well. So you have to be prepared for 2-3 cars barrelling through before you pull away on your green. :-(

That's not the main reason. Depending on the configuration of the lights, the blue lights on unmarked cars are often pretty much invisible from the side. It's entirely possible that none of the drivers managed to work out where the sirens were coming from

@@whimsical_ninja Perhaps he could tell us his light configeration as he is a chief fire officer and with cutbacks it's not so well decorated with the blues.

I am binging on these blue light run videos. I used to deliver around Wokingham, Warfield, Arborfield areas so I can relate to the roads.

It's amazing how people don't see an unmarked emergency vehicle with blues n twos but will acknowledge a marked vehicle!!

Love watching your videos, but do you think one day you could do a vehicle walk around to show your lighting set up?

I have added a thumbnail to the video so you can see it, as I have now retired I no longer have the equipment fitted,

If I was feeling generous I could say that modern car sound insulation and media systems are far too good and could make hearing emergency sirens harder. I'm not, so some people are just stupid and drive through green lights without observing what's happening around them especially a vehicle with sirens and blue flashing lights activated trying to get across a junction.

Yep never take a green light for granted. I always give a good look

Most police cars in the UK can't be heard until they're right on top of you. They should mount the sirens either within the roof lights or somewhere in the front bumper/grille area. Most ambulances where I am have a cutout in the front bumper so the siren can project the sound further without being blocked.

Most oblivious motorists are more than likely either on the phone, headhones, yes media up to loud with or without headphones never look in the mirrors types.
