I enjoyed the Etnies XLT slip on personally. Usually pretty cheap too

The wino slip-on is my go to shoe forever. I like, how the toe feels more narrow, more like a point, compared to the vans. There’s more room around the balls of your feet, the sidewall is higher and the rubber is not as hard as the vans skate line. So they definitely last longer for me, plus they’re lower around the ankle than a vans, idk if anybody noticed that yet. 🤷‍♀️ if you ever roll your ankle and it’s too swollen to wear other shoes, try these, I know from experience. And if you don’t want your foot moving around after they stretch, size down, they’ll stretch to fit your feet better. Also! They’re always on sale.

New balance 306s have a Laceless model I'm on my 2nd pair. They are nice. Based on this video they sound similar to the wino. Never liked Van's slip ons and now the new balance have opened me up to the idea of the winos when I'm browsing CCS or zumiez or some skate shop online

Yeah the shoes might not be as painful for someone with a more narrow foot. The Vans slip ons are actually one of my favourite shoes too! They look good, skate good and last really long too but for me, or a more wide footed person, they are just so painful and take soooo long to break in so sometimes it's not worth 4 weeks or a painful break in period when the Emerica slip ons are good to go out of the box lol

I wear US11 in all shoes but if I could get my hands on an 11.5 in the Vans slip ons I think that would be the sweet spot 👌🏼 I've tried the Vans slip ons in a size 12 but they were just too loose to skate in 👎🏽

Size 11 in both shoes dude That's why I was so surprised how differently both of these shoes fit lol I would probably need an 11.5 or 12 in the Vans for them not to hurt my feet so much but then as they wear in more and loosen up then they would just become way too loose

They are great, but for me they just take so long to wear in lol I’m keen to try the Janoski slip ons too!

Okay, I lied. Just got a new pair and they are pretty damn tight new. 😂 might shove a couple old wheels or something in them over night. Bothers me more like sitting in the car but standing not as much. Probably sinking into them more standing. But yeah my last pair were the “pros” these are the “skate” series.

You were probably better off going a size up though since they can be so tight and painful at first! The only problem with that though is once they have worn in they feel a little loose because they are a size up lol Yeah the Emerica Wino Slip ons are much more comfortable at first and wear in really fast compared to the Vans slip ons!

Yeah the sole of the shoes are really comfortable and supportive actually 👌🏼 But yes there is absolutely no protection for your ankles and top of your feet which can be very painful lol

Yeah dude, I've tried them on before and they just feel like they will slip off of my foot with every step I take lol Definitely! Vans are amazing shoes once they are worn in, but the wear in process is just so long and painful 🥲

Cons fit narrow as fuck that's why, any time you buy cons go a full siE down and the shoe will fit how it's supoose too. (This is why people who ride for cons look like they have clown shoes on cause they tell them a size and it's a size too big)

@@LeonPaxton Vans, for me, are very narrow for my feet. I more or less have to have a half size bigger than for other shoes to get my feet in there and even then I usually can’t even lace the top one hole. They also like to pinch my pinkie toe. They usually look dope though.

Yeah that could also be a reason for it! The sole is really good protection for impact but I guess it creates less room in the actual shoe for your foot 🤔
