Emotional Soldier Homecoming - Soldier Santa Surprises Mom

This soldier dressed up as Santa to surprise his mom by coming home early.
Kim Harris thought she won a poinsettia in a Prairie Heights Schools' staff Christmas breakfast lottery Friday, but instead, said she ended up with the best gift ever.
A Prairie Heights High School math teacher, Harris won a rigged lottery, as Superintendent Alan Middleton drew her name. Because of that, Harris had the chance to sit on Santa's lap in front of all her colleagues. Only, she didn't know who donned the red Santa suit and beard.
Harris sat on Santa's lap and said, "Peace on earth, goodwill to men. I have a long list. My son is safely on U.S. soil from Afghanistan."
At that, Santa removed his beard and it was her son, U.S. Army Spc. Ethan Harris, who came home early from Afghanistan.

My Mom nearly tackled me like a middle linebacker when I came home from Germany for leave just before Desert Storm. Joy and sadness together. She knew I had to go back. And I did get deployed to Desert Storm. She left this world in 2002. There's not a day that I don't miss my Mom. But... I have my son. He's just as moody and sentimental as she was! She's not really gone!

@@reneerico866 I was Mom's baby, the youngest. My big brother is 2 years older than me. We got the same treatment after we both left the military. Mom, all 4'11" of her, would get in our faces and tell us, "You're still not too big for me to whip your ass!" And she meant it!

My son served in Desert Storm and when he came home from leave for the first time I got to hold my baby in my arms it was amazing. I never dreamed when I held my son for the first time in my arms that he would have to fight for his life when he was in Desert Storm.

@T P Your really just that hateful. Let Me put it this way no matter what Grudge you have against the military do be mad at the soldiers. They have their countries and their families best interest at heart. The service and sacrifice is that they are risking their lives in order to protect and help their country. 13 yrs. ago my son (age 25) lost his life in a car accident. I thought it would be easier as time went on....Christmas is the hardest. God Bless you and know that your dad watches over you always. 💕

I love watching these kinds of videos, whether it is soldiers returning to family members (that includes their dogs btw) or just people who lost each other and reconnects after long times. The thing I love about it is the love in the videos, so many familys have problems that rip them apart and I am so happy to have a happy family even though I moved out. I love seeing happiness and love between living creatures, it is a beautiful thing.
