I actually prefer the sound of IEMs to headphones so I use IEMs at my desk if I don't want to be disturbed or want to enjoy my music.

I run IEMs on desktop when it's too hot to wear closed back over ears and I'm doing something that causes my computer to get loud (gaming).

Would you be able to comment on any comparisons between the Valkyrie MKII and the Campfire Audio Solaris 20? Thanks!

Yeah, i heard the Wraith needs like a super source to sound decent. Your review falls in line with what I have heard and read in that iem. The only one I disagreed on was the L3 but they had unit variances so the one you got could have been a dud. Who knows?? I wonder if something like the Shuoer EJ07 is on your list to review. Would like to hear your thoughts on that set if you get a chance to review them..

Cables, I have both cables for my Custom IEMs, (can't get on with universal buds as they fall out), both cables make significant difference to the sound signature. The only problematic issue for potential customers is forking out the money when you 'may' not have tried and heard the the sound produced by the cables. A little footwork is required, either attending HiFi exibitions or conferences like CanJam, or going to a Headphone oriented suppliers who may lend you the cables for a pre-purchase test. I have numerous 'custom' cables and in every case they out perform the stock cables by a wide margin. Also a lot of headphone and IEMs don't come with the 3.5 or 4.4 pentacons which is the 'fashion' of this period. I love my 4.4 balanced sockets...so, do your initial 50 hour burn-in, (some might suggest longer or shorter, establish what might be lackingin the sound signature, then give your IEMs a second chance) by dipping your toe in at the 200$£E mark and go from there...it can prove addictive. Thumbs up for a great review....

I actually hated the Zeus when it came out and even called it crap on the head-fi forums. The Phantom was my fav out of what I have tried, but even then, I didn't do back flips over it. The Legend X is so bloated with mid bass its way out of balance.

Are you and your father listening to these with a 3.5mm unbalanced source? Because your remarks on the Wrath sounds exactly like that, it would of course fall short to every aspect and sounds like garbage. Please try it with a balanced source like an AK SP2000, or better yet with a powerful 4.4mm balanced Sony NW-WM1Z, and with hi-res audio format of at least 24 bit/96 kHz. It will completely change your mindset for the Wrait. listening the Wraith without a proper source is like driving a F1 race car without a proper training.
