▶Synopsis:
Gongsun Li, a beautiful commoner, has been studying Kung Fu from her grandfather alongside two senior apprentices ever since she was a little girl. During her youth, she saves a boy named Ying Zheng, who later becomes the King of Qin. Her world is turned upside down when war breaks out amongst the warring states and her grandfather is killed by the Qin army. As a result, Gongsun Li is forced to flee her hometown. Her longtime senior, Jing Kie, is then poisoned for attempting to protect her. In order to obtain the cure for Jing Ke, Gongsun Li chooses to marry the king, Ying Zheng, who is responsible for invading her nation and murdering her grandfather. Soon after, Gongsun Li discovers that she is pregnant with Jing Kie’s child. When Ying Zheng’s discovers Gongsun Li’s pregnancy, he comes to her aid by claiming that he is the father of the child, which deeply moves Gongsun Li. In order to ensure the safety of Gongsun Li and her child, Han Shen, Gongsun Li’s other senior, chooses to become an imperial bodyguard in the palace. Faced with the dangers and perils of life in the palace, Gongsun Li develops into a strong woman and eventually earns people’s respect through her wisdom and kindness.

Han shen is the one who truly understands li er. He knows li er is in love with king and did everything to realise hearty wishes of king which he couldn't do himself being the king of Qin, he knows she loves king that's why he has been quietly following king's orders till king imprisons lady li. He knows only one thing that is to see li er safe and happy, king of Qin or yin zhengs or even Jing ke norhing else matters to him.

And isn't it in this episode he clearly made a confession that he loves her infront of Li, herself & YZ ☝️☝️ If he really want to stay by her side, he must not confess. @@rosh1652 if it's about the king, there's no need to ask anymore. He basically already has mental problems from the start🙄🙄🙄 About HS. He is a gentleman. I agree. But In the previous episode, he said that he didn't want to get married. He said "he just wants to stay by her side. He doesn't want to leave her. although he knows he can't walk into her heart, as long as he can see her, it's alright"...this was Han Shen's himself selfish desire. That's what I call an "ignorant obsession". He doesn't want to know about Li's feelings at all and force his own feelings to her. He ignore her true feeling. If you put yourself as her (Li'er), are you going to be happy to hear this?? Not guilty??🥺😟 HS is not the man that she is deeply in love with. He is not Jingke. She just needs HS as a brother/bodyguard/helper. But by confessing his love, means he wants her to see him as a man. If he continue protecting her, being loyal to her, and even sacrifice his life for her sake as a "man", it's not worth. And actually she already knows that he likes her. But she can pretend not to know as long as he didn't say anything. And of course it's good that finally he can openly say his feelings. But the risk is, he can't stay by her side anymore from now on. In the next episode, she told him that she loves YZ. Her real intention to say that is actually to make HS leave her. He felt heartbroken after her rejection and still doesn't actually care about her true feeling. If he truly care about her, he should have directly gone to Yan after he leave Qin to let JK know about his son, but he didn't. Eventhough he's Li & JK eldest brother. He deserves better. I also hope so. But I think his ending is what he deserves, as an atonement. Especially toward Tianming🤧

The king basically destroyed himself along with the rest of the other people lives. Han shen is the best among the 3, even if he loves he still thinks logically, it's sad for jin ke as well as lier. Lier wanted to live a peaceful life but jinke had to fulfil the grandfather's promise, while ying zheng has unresolved trauma and couldn't really cherish lier, the only person who doesn't has any problems is han shen and it's really sad sacrificing himself more than others to protect lier but he is always left alone.

Watching the person you love suffer pain worse than a million deaths right in front of your eyes and yet unable to do anything is the worst kind of torture. What else do you want Han Shen to go through? Neither her heart nor her safety can ever belong to him but he has to live with this bitter truth for life and continue to protect his beloved in the dark.

Han shen is the only one who love her truly and unconditional . He loves her more than the king and jing ke . He know that she never liked him but after all he always don't Care about himself no matter what for her happiness and safety he is willing to do anything . Both king and Jing ke are not qualified to be with her only Han shen is perfect for her but so sad that he doesn't like him she only accept him as his senior brother .king and jing ke doubt about her character and hurt her too much when she love and care for both of them but after knowing the relationship between madam Li and king , Madam Li and jing ke he never doubted about her character and never hurt her . He is the only who understand her well and he never wanted her to love him back and never force her to be with him . He only wanted to stay by her side , protect her and bring him happiness . This is the true love , i respect him too much 🙏🏻.

I wonder if Zhang Bin Bin suffered emotionally during the filming of this drama, as there are many emotional moments in this for him? If so, does it take time to come down from the many emotional highs and lows? This of course would apply to many actors, I would imagine, if that was the case. This kind of acting must take its toll on actors, because as a viewer I too suffer some emotional stresses and strains because some of the problems encountered are so readily applicable to life in this era. I must say that I find Zhang Bin Bin performs this role brilliantly. He’s an interesting and rather extraordinary actor. If he persists with how he’s progressing, he will continue to be an exciting and wonderful actor. He is great in these strong roles. Greetings Zhang Bin Bin!

Lollll @ the guards listening in "pain" from the outside whilst King and Han are fighting it out. .😂😂😂😂😂 ...well, if you think abt it Han and Jing were both brought up with Li zer. ..and they know her inside out. ..in the sense that shes beautiful and has a good soul (selfless, loving, caring exceptionally talented and a rare BEAUTY). For them. ..its a waste of time looking throughout China for the whole package when this woman is the real deal. Look, even the King of the World wants her. .so if you think abt it, they can protect her all they want. ..but nothing is going to stop them from LOVING HER. When the King asks, "Do you love her like man and woman?!?". ..what does he think? Of course! If hes going to go out of his way to force her to be with him. ..put her picture up across the country to capture her. ..and then on top of that, take in her child with another man AND make her his fave concubine. ..then he'll be dumb to think that shes just another woman ...her beatings were brutal.
