It's the way of the modern age, unfortunately... where once we shared a common spoken alphabet, it was morphed by conquest, or dispersion. and while in some regions of the world, some things are similar, in others, so foreign, to pronounce the same word has become almost an atrocity to it's origin. Vino, wine. U and v, double u, for a long U, sounding like uue.. ahh I get so lost in it all. people today care not for it. and in deed ruin it further. Let me aks you.. et al. Wish there was a time machine so I could go back to the first language. the one spoken by the first people. And there was one, given that nuances in the spoken words are carried across the planet. cest la vie, est quod est. Now we speak shorthand. hbu? I think the one thing we should retain in all of our ventures towards the future, is our language. spoken, written.. and lets not lose another nordic one, nor aboriginal one, nor celtic, aramaic, or even native one... lest we forget.

Nothing clever or funny about this video for two reasons: 1. Lots of English people are sympathisers with republicanism so these guys may well have been happy to say that to the camera even if they knew the meaning of the phrase. (pointless) 2. These individuals could have had relatives killed or injured by the IRA and could be distressed at seeing this video. That obviously doesn't bother Irish sport TV!

Lets not forget, BOTH SIDES did some pretty awful things, not just the IRA. They could've also had relatives killed or injured by the UDA, RIC, or the UVF. For example, new lodge, belfast, february 4th 1973, where british Snipers and the UDA shot 2 IRA members, and then just randomly murdered 4 civilians, and injured 9 others, all because they just felt like taking innocent lives that day. Nobody was exactly "in the right" in the 30 year conflict, both sides hurt a LOT of innocent civilians.
