I just watched this video again and I'm drooling again! I am going to order these pans right now! Then make meatloaf and this bread!! I absolutely love cooking with cast iron! I have more iron skillets and Dutch ovens then any person should have! But I don't have loaf pans!!

Looks fantastic! I've never heard of English Muffin *bread*, but why not? I use my old grill regularly as both a smoker and an oven, but I haven't baked bread in it (yet). Maybe I'm about due. No cast iron loaf pan here, just Pyrex, but it looks tempting. Meanwhile, I have plenty of other cast iron. I wonder how this would do as a round loaf in maybe a 10" Lodge skillet...

LOL the nooks n crannies you mean....who cares if it's good right, and especially from the grill. I love my cast iron and I do pert near everything on it too!! And agree with Kneady and y'all, bring on the thumber downers.

When cooking in cast iron does one need to slightly under cook it as cast iron stays so hot whike it is cooling? We live at 8000ft and I usually have to cook my bread with a thermometer to keep from overcooking.

I've been making my own bread for about a year now....nothing fancy, but this seems to be the same ingredients as regular bread....what part of the process makes it different, to be English muffin bread ? Just curious.

You need to review the measurement for buttermilk…..how much

Are you using a bread flour that you prefer as every one can be a bit different.
