Yes, yes.yes AjamSonic. I think that right now, the best high-end arranger keyboard there is is being able to connect a Genos 2 with a Ketron-Event module. Congratulations for good and detailed tutorials. A cordial greeting from Spain.

Hola a todos llevo muchos años con Ketron tengo un sd1plus y un sd5 soy de puerto Rico pero vivo ahora en la florida y les diré que yo antes tenía un ensonic y hacía las pistas en el y me acompañaba en vivo era lo mejor para ese tiempo pero me cansé de hacer pistas y quería algo más para crear en vivo y lo más latino que pude conseguir en aquel tiempo fue el Ketron tremenda máquina hace como 17 a 18 años que lo tengo y le e echo unos ritmos brutales que ningún teclado tiene tuve que inventar mucho con el Ketron por esas percusiones que trajo no me ayudaron para hacer buena salsa merengue. Guajira etc lo malo que an hecho todas estas compañías es que no an hecho una buena percusión latina por lo menos el Ketron trajo buena güira de metal y tambora pero en el bongo y las congas an fallado por que no an hecho unas congas y bongo con todos sus slap y esa percusión que iso Ketron que está todo mezclado no sirve porque no se puede hacer un ritmos de percusión que sea todo separado ni tampoco hacen una percusión buena latina que sea todo separarado que uno pueda bajar o comprar si quieren escuchar mi trabajo me pueden ver por KZfaq como Sammy el hombre orquesta lo van a escuchar es porque yo lo ise todo a mi gusto quiero un teclado nuevo pero estoy indeciso si comprar el Ketron event o el Genos la ventaja del Genos que uno puede comprar sampler bien buena para el Genos y lo otro es que el Ketron even yo siento que se oye más presente los s sonidos y trae más ritmos latinos que se pueden copiar y arreglarlos al gusto mío y el Genos la ventaja que los botones que trajo al frente como los program es tremenda ventaja pero veré a ver que hago

have been doing this from twenty years ,, using drum machines with arrangers ,,, I told Korg and Yamaha about that e mail ,,years ago and asked them to create a arranger and synth ,, Korg did it in the Korg Pa5x ,,,Yamaha is catching up ,,,with Genos 2 and Ketron is amazing I Love all three ,, I stop giving out free ideas to major companies ,,, who give or do nothing for me ,,, all my future music and art videos no names and no way I create my art and music will be shared with anyone ,,, Ajam your playing has inproved amazing ,,,, You are a educatior ,,, I am a artist and I will not show any keyboard in my videos any more ,,,I removed all my old videos from the last sixteen years ,,,and started all new ,, not one insterment will be in any my videos and I will not share any more my Ideas with anyone ,,, I will pay for what I buy and keep it totally to my self and only do the art and music ....no one is paying me anything for my Ideas...they will not get any more from me ,,,

Great job my friend. Using EventX in combination with Genos and especially PA5X is a great idea. I will soon make a video with additional functions that will help all those who want to use EventX with Genos or Korg PA5. There are a lot of good ideas on how to put it together and get the best results.

I use my Genos 1 together with Ketron SD90. Genos has the advantage, that the buttons are closer to the keyboard, that I am more flexible about style assembling, but the patterns are pretty short, compared with Ketron, where it is 8 bars. So it depends on the song, I try to use Ketron frequently as possible, but some songs are better with Genos.

You are corect. Each Arranger keyboard has features, sounds and styles it excells in over the others. This is why you can't really say 'this' or 'that' is the best Arranger Keyboard. For you and YOUR needs, you will have to determine which is best for you.

Ketron still has not solved the problem with synchronization. Even in this video you can hear that the guitar and bass lag behind the other instruments, when you play style from Ketron. Only because of this, I had to sell Кetron Event, although I will buy it again, once they fix this problem. But I’m no longer sure, that this will be resolved

This 'issue' cannot be fixed because in the real recording (as is the case when musicians play live). the instruments are NOT in perfect tempo all the time. When these musicians recorded these tracks in the studio for 16-32 measures, the of course 'swayed' a little from the tempo/quantize - as is the case when they play live. Therefore, the EVENT is simply reproducing as was created, therefore the problem of perfection in timing is not from the EVENT but the musicians. The best way to solve this is if KETRON/AjamSonic records shorter measured variations (8 bars max like other manufactures do) to keep it short, accurate but probably boring too.

Hi there, Frank here from Boston I’m 29 almost x 2, years old😁. I’ve been playing keyboard for a while, I have Gions one and Ketron event X. I have something to say about this issue that people always complain about Ketron. If you want to keep playing your boring midi style, just stick with your Yamaha Genos or Korg PA4X, but if you want to diversify, play music and listen to it like it used to be back in the days get Ketron, it’s simple as that. Why we like to listen to old music sometimes ? I like them because of the imperfection, if you want to use that word, they sound more natural, better, and this is what you need Ginos for, this is just my opinion, if you don’t agree, don’t shoot me😁. Like I said, I have Gino’s and Ketron, I love to use both of them together

Brilliant video AJ! This is absolutely where I want to go as far as my Arranger set-up is concerned. In fact, I did this same type of keyboard arranger + module once before "back in the day" successfully linking a Roland E70 with a Korg i5M. Now my questions for today: Q1 - Will my current Yamaha Tyros 5 couple just as nicely with a Ketron Event X and be just as compatible as the Genos 2 Event X featured in your video? Q2 - how is the Event X "attached" to a keyboard... does it merely sit on the plastic music stand of the keyboard, or is there a custom attachment? Hello. I like the Genos-Ketron combination. And I will definitely purchase a extra module for my Genos2. However, I am now unsure between the X or that new sound module that you can operate with an iPad. My biggest problem for now remains being able to set everything up quickly! That's why my question! What is the device on your left that apparently allows you to make certain settings? Thanks in advance Fred

This app can also be used to control the Event X module. If you are going to be in a studio environment, then the EVM is preferable, however, for live/stage/robust use, the EVENTx is the better option. When the App is released, you can use this on any tablet/ipad to control any of the EVENT series instruments, including the keyboard.

Complimenti. E' un bel modo di mettere a confronto gli arrangers. Tutto dipende però da un gusto personale e da cosa bisogna produrre con un arrangers. Anche il posto (luogo . country) dove si suona è caratterizzante per le cose che bisogna suonare e che ti fanno fare la scelta di un arrangers o un altro. La composizione di Genos e Ketron secondo me è il massimo che si possa aver in questo campo. Buon lavoro!

Can you use the transpose with the Ketron at the same time with the the Geno? I have the Genos 1

Yes. Simply turn on the MIDI TRANSPOSE on the KETRON. Now, all you have to worry about is transposing on the GENOS - KETRON will transpose Automatically! Watch this one (similar with Tyros 5):- kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jaiKgLCGyr-anH0.html

@@AjamSonic Thank you very much. What a great piece of equipment. Im a midi guitarist. Had 3 in the past and looking for the perfect setup. I started with the old Korg Z1 guitar synth then to the roland GR 33 and 55 series. Sold them both because of the poor quality of the Roland sounds in them ... I believe they just dump the older synt parts into a guitar synth... Just no quality. Seems the X would be the best choice for my solo ideas. When you get a chance, would you demo the vocals? PLZ

Yes. Set both to the same midi channels (for right and left). In this example on Genos, you set Midi TX Right1 voice =1. Left/Chord = 2. Then, on Audya, you set Midi RX Right = 1. Left = 2

For some, Genos 2 is a problem box. For others, Pa5x is a problem box. For some, Event X is a problem box. Our advise is ... get the box whose problems work best for your needs.

It is not right to buy 2 arrangers to make good quality sound music. Is not possible to make one machine standalone production? For goodness sake!. To much money to spend!! I am fed up to spend money buying different keyboard because one has one thing the other hasn't got it. I do not buy no more keyboard but loop station with good quality sounds and make my live performance and bit you all!!

You may be right. Such a set up is not for everyone. Not everyone buys a BMW, but those who by a Toyota Corolla still get from point A to point B - just with a different level of comfort. Depends on your taste and goal.
