Today's video is a long term review of my ENVE SES 5.6 carbon aero wheelset courtesy of The Pro's Closet. Enve offers a variety of wheels including their ENVE Foundation 45 and ENVE Foundation 65. But with so many wheels on the market today from likes of Zipp, DT Swiss, and Mavic, are these the best for you?

Just got a set of 404 NSW from the pro's closet, they look sound and roll amazing. They have a second identical set, would like to see you compare those against the enve 5.6.. Pro's closet if you're watching please know that this guy got you that sale. Delivered to NY. Another great video Patrick thanks for the recommendation, I just finished assembling a Cervelo S3 build for my son. frame and parts purchased from the pro's closet wheels from Winspace. the 404s spinning nicely on my S5, Patrick if you haven't tried tubeless try the Continental GP5000 STR. Where you riding through a portion of the White City. I read an okay book a few years ago set in Chicago about the US first cereal killer and the rise of modern architecture, the cover looks exactly like your BG.

So that was YOU!! 🤣 I kid you not…those were next on my list until they sold out quickly. The identical set is SRAM/XDR. Hopefully another set in Shimano hub hits the shop soon! Thanks for your thoughts, it really helps those in the market for those tasty NSWs!

As usual, your sense of humor is amazing; how do you make a wheel review this entertaining? lmao. Nice touch having that doll watching your bike while it hangs on the wall 😂 For your next wheels, I'd love to see something REALLY deep, as you said 80-88mm or something. I currently have the 65mm Hypers, but if Winspace/LUN ever made deeper, I'd buy another pair without hesitation. I'd love to do a staggered 65/88mm wheelset for my Winspace T1500 😳
@PatrickLino

haha trying to see how long I can skate the line between humor and offensiveness 🤣. With Chicago being so flat, it doesn't make sense to roll with anything shallower than 55mm deep!

Great review I run a set of these exact wheels with the DT SWISS 240 hubs and they are awesome, the only modification I've made was to upgrade the ratchet mechanism in the rear hub, I think it was to a 64 tooth ratchet mechanism and they sound fantastic. A little heavy but when they are up to speed they hold onto the speed really well👌👌

I will tell you this...I like the design of Koo versus Oakley Sutro. BUT...the lenses on the Koo frames scratch WAY MORE easily than Oakleys ☹. If you can find them on sale do it, but I probably wouldn't pay retail for them again. Also the Sutro's have slightly better polarized lenses.

The feeling of compliance of the wheels probably has a lot to do with the spokes. The rim is a big box section truss for a lot of stiffness, and the rider is suspended on it via the spokes. Having thin spokes, and low spoke counts like this have more of a rising rate of strain, so they feel like they absorb more of the small bumps, but ramp up on larger stress so the rider inputs (out of the saddle sprints or such) feel stiff
