I love watching videos as opposed to just listening to a podcast. Seeing you guys interact is part of the great charm of your show. Been a huge fan of you guys for 20 years and I'm a huge fan of this show.

Butter story: a girl I went to school with went to Disney World in Florida and the had waffles for breakfast that came with a scoop of white butter. Now, as you both know, butter is usually very yellow in the UK and isn't dolloped on top of things like that. To cut to the chase, her sister thought it was ice-cream and got a nasty surprise 😂

We had one podcast yes, we had a second one! Billy will be pleased 😂😂

My in-laws (Hearty Norwegians) have a family dish that is VERY hobbit friendly. It's not something you can pick up, it would take a crafty intern or staff member to make it, I will share the recipe here. I guarantee these veterans of hobbit cuisine will have some thoughts about it. Potato Klubb (Potato Balls) Ingredients (4 parts potato, 1 part salt port, .5 parts onion...generally, good luck) 12 Potatoes 1 lb Salt Pork Yellow Onion (1/4 cup should do, depends on taste vs how much potatoes you grind up) 2 Cups Flour (adjust as needed) Salt (1/2 tsp) Stick of Butter for each persons plate (yes, this is not for the faint of heart...cause it will kill you in excess. We limit this traditional dish to once a year and will die happy.) Instructions: Peel potatoes Rice Potatoes (I recommend a food processor) Rice Salt Pork Rice Onions Combine Potatoes, salt pork and onions in a large bowl. Add flour until you are able to form a dough like consistency. Roll out potato balls in hand, about the size of a tennis ball. Bring large pot of water to a boil (salt water) Drop in the potato balls into the hot water. Loosen any sticking to the bottom of the pot. Simmer for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Remove balls from water and set in serving dish. How to serve: Essential is the stick of butter. Each person needs their own. Serve 1-3 balls per person (I can only eat one, my in-laws go up to 3-4) Slice a piece of potato ball and a equal or slightly less than piece of the cold butter, combine on fork (don't wait for it to melt) Shove in mouth, chew, chew, chew, enjoy. Leftovers: These babies come back like Jesus the next morning. Slice up any leftover balls into little hashbrown steaks. Fry in butter and enjoy. If you need a video tutorial let me know, I'd love an excuse to bug my mother in law to make them.

One time we were at a fancy restaurant with my younger brother. He was probably about 3 or 4. All of us were pretty distracted, but at one point we heard him say "mmm cheese balls are good." He had eaten an entire plate of little balls of butter that was served with some complimentary bread.

Topics such as: hobbits, Rohan, Sauron, Essays about the Ring, Tolkien's Life, Cast of the movies, production of the movies. I also suggest that you guys do a read-along with us fans. Maybe every week a chapter? Then discuss the chapter. And quiz your producer on it .

My 3 year old is obsessed with butter.. she once pulled a chair over to the counter and grabbed a stick of butter out of the butter dish and proceeded to eat it like a chocolate bar. I had my back turned for 2 minutes and she had practically polished it off.

I have the Trivial Pursuit LOTR game with the DVD and we play it all the time; so many great things to find out about cast, crew, films and books. I love that game, so the quiz portion of the podcast is so fun!

I am watching, and I won't miss an episode. I listened, but now I must watch. You guys are incredible. I am all in on anything that brings more of your Middle Earth to me. I am going to be 60, and I read the books when I was 11. They have remained my favorite books and movies for my entire life. "Aragorn at the Black Gate" is my favorite movie scene of all time.

This is what I have been needing in my life. I grew up with LOTR, and the cast commentary always made me and my friend die laughing. It's just the same now. Can't wait for you guys to try new things, maybe mmmhops would be a good beer to try made by hanson 😅

Haha get some Finnish Easter desert called Mämmi (pronounced a bit like ’mam-my’ kinda). It looks like (to put it kindly 😄) dark marmelade and you eat it with cream or similar and some like to add sugar as well. It’s pretty sweet as it is, however, and it’s made with molasses and rye flour. Very exotic!
