Episode 6 of #tacotalk is here to wrap up our final episode for 2022 with our first introduction to our Sydney familia. Our first stop was at the small but mighty @nativosydney Pyrmont #Sydney.
Newly opened & already loved by locals & those that crave authentic Mexican... Manuel & Diana shared their story & inspiration with us about their tiny taqueria.
We had the privilege to taste their favourite tacos & their signature 12h slow cooked Beef Brisket Birria with a Kunzea Salsa Verde. A fusion of their traditional roots in Oaxaca, combined with local ingredients & mixed techniques that @manueldiazchef learned on his journey working in global Michelin-starred kitchens before settling here in Aus…Makes Nativo a not-your-usual taco place. Pure magic! When we spoke they had only been open for 3 weeks.
Writer @_megan_johnston_ loved the menu "Why stop at one or two dishes when you can order the whole menu?" as her stand out dish for 2022...Featured in @goodfoodau 'Top Dishes of 2022'. Only 10 dishes on the menu… All featuring our tortillas & totopos & priced under $15! We couldn't agree more with you!
