I just used Rydlyme to flush my old 1999 Yamaha C60 2 stroke outboard. The amount of crud that it flushed out was amazing, and the engine runs good now.

I accidentally used regular rydlyme not marine. Seemed super potent. Hope I don’t ruin anything. Did it for 2 hours

When I started using it, I called, the marine part is just a separate section or company devision as they released the different uses it had, but is the same as the RYDLYME biodegradable, If I remember, but you can call them and check.I am not positive, normally I would check, before I respond with an I am sure. I will call them again and verify as well, if your not sure when using it, dilute is some more and go 3 to 1. And rinse with clean water if you're not sure.

Rydlyme is a weak acid base......keep you receipt for the pump & keep returning it or do an exchange since the pump won't last long. You'll need an HVAC acid resistant pump made for acid flushing.

Yes it is a weak acid..whe. you are done wash your hands...and your pump with fresh water..

Any update after a year? do you flush with rydlyme after every use? do you have a video of a shorter/daily flush instead of a 24hr flush? Also I've seen others remove the lower unit to force flush with rydlyme is that not needed for your outboard? Mine looks similiar but its a 2003 merc efi.

No not after every use, I would once a year, replace thermostats every 2 years. There cheap, but can break you down in the water. I don't t remove lower end on this, one, it was used when I purchased it, and I want to be sure all build up is gone in all water ways, including the lower unit where the water does circulate.the impeller should allow flow, through the system, this engine has lower water ports on each side I wanted cleared. Any blockage anywhere can cause a over heat issue. Always run it and rinse good after a flush with clean water. I use a full water bin not ear muffs too.

You need to get the engine hot when washing the motor - after you get back hook up the hose you get a couple of second warm water then it cold again - use a bucket run the motor in gear or the computer will not heat the engine up

No.. when we flush..if you watch the entire video..I remove the thermostats to flush..the engine does not! Need to be warm to properly flush..And then Watch the video of how long it takes to warm an engine and open thermostats..for a good flush to eat away scaling and salt build up remove thermostats and flush...you need to watch how little salt away does on eating salt and scaling..it is over 40 min and still salt a way won't eat scaling away...if you do not know the motor..bought it used you do not know how clean or dirty the water channel's are? Just a warm water rinse is not going to jack..bud..water temp needs to be 140 to open thermostats a d cycle water? So where do you figure warm will work? Warm will not touch 140 degree water. Is hot not warm and after 15 min your thermostats just opened bro..so now let it run for 25 min so after they opened it has time to rinse the hot or warm water as you call it to cycle through and clean...and never ever should you get your engine hot then run cold water into it? This is a cold water flush kit..lol..you know it's only going to be warm for less than 30 sec? The cold water will cool it almost instantly..And no there is no computerized to the thermostats...lol..not sure where you got all this info..but you are super far off about all of what you said..the thermostats are a mechanical non electrical non controlled $40 part most forget to change every 3 years..haha.. sorry I am laughing, but the thermostats are mechanical to check it simply it out right now and boil it..no computer connection at all. And it will open, mechanically at around 140ish degrees. Please do not put cold water to hot things and your hopefully learning something most of all stop saying things your not sure about. IM SURE ABOUT ALL OF THIS..

@@steveperdueshowtofishingti2172 Im not talking about your product im talking about general boat washing - when the engine is not under load OUT of gear the engines system pulls timing and fuel water still flows around cools motor thermostat closes You need a bucket to allow the engine to be in gear running till the water gets hot

@@khg8519 not sure what you mean..we are making a cold water no thermostat pump around force flushed self contained system.. so there is no running it in gear on this video no need for the water pump to spin. I will do video on just rinsing after use soon. I do run it in gear to rinse all the shaft and prop. The water pump is connected to the shaft which spins when it's running,the shaft engages when you move the linkage under the water pump housing in the gear oil fill case, so even not in gear your pumping water to the stats, and will open all the way after they reach around 140 degrees F. Meaning you need to run the engine for long enough to open the stats or stat and then a few more to rinse inside and past the stats... problem is if you do this with salt a way. You with have to flush for hours for it to just rinse salt out, it does nothing for any other build up, that's why rydlme it eats it all, fast. But I do engage it in gear to rinse and spin water around the prop areas...have seen a lower end of a motor?

Can you use Rydlyme everytime you flush your engine after running in salt water?

Just like salt away add it to a rinse bottle on a hose.. or what I'm doing is just clean water rinse after each use making water get hot to open thermostats then atvthe end of the season I will use my 24 hr flush on the pump set up. No thermostats in..at that time inspect the thermostats and soak them separately if needed..when ph is clean and not changing its like new nothing left..no salt or scale which salt a way only eats salt..as we have seen..hope this helps bud..thanks for watching..I'm posting some of these test and set ups..stay tuned..and happy boating
