Sir Alex Ferguson and Sir Jim Ratcliffe were among those in attendance at the Munich air disaster memorial at Old Trafford.
Manager Erik ten Hag and captain of the club Bruno Fernandes were also in attendance.

Thank you for the coverage… Particularly good to see SJR there, it does seem that he is really committed to taking us back to the top. He actually looked emotionally moved. So impressed by his involvement in such a short space of time and his £1.3 billion etc not even ratified yet. .

This is why we're so unique & why we mean so much to millions around the world. The Busby Babes put us on the map. I enjoyed this touching tribute I sat welled up dripping with tears captivated by everything. I’m distantly related to babe mark jones and from his hometown. Ten Hag gave an amazing press conference after Wolves game touching upon history of the club that we know as Manchester United - to lose an entire squad to a tragedy and within 2 years be at the summit of football in Europe. He said this is what we are and we all should do replicate the resilience of United. I have never seen a Glazer come to these, so props to Sir Jim Ratcliff for bringing their.

A beautiful memorial. Big up BeanymanSports for recording the event. Respect to Andy Burnham represnting as Mayor of Manchester, even though he is an Evertonian... The only dissapoinment for me was Bruno aside none of the 1st team were there. It should be mandatory for them to attend.

Facts: This was the first memorial services of the Munich air disaster since the death of Sir Bobby Charlton on October 21, who were the survivors of that tragedy. I think Manchester United should pay a final tribute to him on this memorial service, since he was the most important figures of the club along with Sir Matt Busby.

Bruno is one of the few players that you will see at the.memorials and he was also at Sir Bobby Charlton gathering the other day. He is one of our players that gets it not just because he is the captain but because he loves United. Sorry to see he gets so much flack from our own fans that truly don't appreciate him and what he stands for.
