Ever since I flew to California to test the Pre-Production PiNTS last March (2019), I've been getting a ton of questions about the board. Everyone wants to know if the board RiPS or if it feels like a toy.
Well, the day is finally here when I can start riding the PiNT and sharing my experiences with you all. In this video, I start with a quick two minute summary vid (Banger 0:00 - 1:47), and then follow it up with the full ride with minimal editing.

I hare the steep pushback. Like come on FM, just make it tilt less. When i ride at 26 kmph it kills my legs

Lol 100% they’re different machines. Similar in feel but I definitely need to ride the pint more to get used to it.

Glad you're back! you are the reason why I got my xr. At 800 miles and had my first nose dive yesterday, completely smashed my phone screen :( even had a case and screen protector, plus it was in my pocket. Live and learn, shred on sly!! glad to see the new vids after recovery.

Ahhhh, like old times, a nice hot cup of black, no sugar hazelnut coffee, turn on the interwebs and watch Slydog doing what he loves doing. I will admit, I held my breath on the nose dives and was like "Nooo... not his knee!!" Scared me. Looks like you rehabbed very well. Hopefully it's not bothering you after a runoff. Loved watching you do your thing. All the best to the best!

Thanks bo. Happy to report my knee feels great and didn't bother me at all after the run outs. I trained to run again for Months with a physical therapist who I'm still seeing twice a week. I'm probably riding a pint a little aggressive for my first few rides but I have to figure the board out somehow! Cheers brotha! Thanks for watching//following.

Depends. If you’re gonna want to ride in the street or compete with bikers in bike lanes... XR all day. If you want a fun machine to float around on casually, the pint is great and obviously the price is as well. Just beware, if you get addicted to riding you’re gonna want an XR after you have the pint for a few months.

Yep. I get this comment on almost all of my videos. It’s because I push past pushback.... the board adjusts more at those speeds. Can’t wait to ride with y’all for real this year bros!!

@@slydogstroh have you found that you can't brake after that? I've gone past push back and it would no longer slow down. I was a passenger til I got to an incline. Slowed down and the brake kicked in again. Only happened to me twice.

The pint quickly became one of my top ways to blow off steam! But I did notice the battery to drain quick on colder rides. I went through the snow and could only get a few miles out of it. Cool runnings bro!🤙 stay loose.

I live in Chicago, so I think that is why I like your videos so much. It's nice seeing you go by an area just to see if I can recognize it. I can't wait to get my own one wheel. I wanted to get one this year, but...well with what's going on...I decided to wait a bit. But hopefully I'll be able to get one soon.

I got a few e-skateboards and keep tempting to get either EUC or one wheel. only issue is I'm planning to go back to Australia so may be an issue shipping all these :'( so that's the only thing keeping me back. li-ion cells don't release their power as well when really cold, they'll appear empty, then you go inside and they warm up, suddenly you get your power back. so won't be draining as much just won't get the performance out of them, just don't push them too hard

Are you constantly fighting the pushback? If so, aren't you a bit concerned it will cut out & nosedive? By the way, the video is unbelievably good. I think I've only seen 1 video before this with a better than 410 thumbs up to 1 down. And I've watched the whole of YT.

Lol!! Thanks Duncan! I must be doing something right then huh? To answer your question yes. Constantly fighting Past Pushback actually. I’m not worried about nosediving no. I can feel the motor. I’ll talk more about this in an upcoming video.

I've got about 4,500 miles in the last 1.5 years - mostly on a V1 (because the weather is so poor in the UK I don't want to wreck my XR). So I am freaked out when I see you do what you do. But your injury period has upped your quality of video ;-) 410/1 blimey. Beautiful video ... please keep them coming!

Good to see the backstreets on your ride - I was beginning to think that Chicago was all super smooth roads. Got 9 miles out of my Pint with 10% left, but it was last year when the temperatures were a lot higher. Also, mine nosedived with an error code and red flashing lightbar when I pushed it up to over 19mph, so I keep the speed down now. (The dents on my helmet help to remind me!) Nice to see you back. Keep the videos coming.

Hell yeah Slydog, good to see you rippin on the pint. Crazy how much battery you used for that, I guess the cold and fighting the push back is a fair drain haha. Pint should have good range because you are walking and running half the time. Pint wheel small for rough places.

Bevor some weeks I nosedived at 27mph on my XR. It’s really weird because I loved it to ride fast but now I’m scared to ride faster than 19mph even though I want to ride faster than 19 mph.🤔😕

Probably true! I also love how the Solo plate acts as a mini handle so I can hold the board at the nose again like my other onewheels.

Heres my trick, get the push back at 15 mph, and put most of your weight on the back foot and accelerate. the board its gonna remain tilted upwards. but be careful braking because the board will feel like its wobbling when your decreasing from 22 to the 16 mph limit

The sidekick rail protectors and the solo plate are awesome. The pint tumbles something fierce when you dump it. Gotta try the grip tape. Also recommend the various mini fenders posted for the pint - for those of you with 3d printers out there. Stops the tyre spooning water into your shoes in the wet. Wont prevent a full blown crotch soaking if you really peg it but great for wet spots along the way. Keep at it Sly. Great to see you back on a single wheel bruh.

22mph, that’s pretty aggressive. I’m 155mi in and don’t think I’ve pushed it past 15mph. Course I’m only 60days into this journey, and hauling 250+lbs around. Not quite as nimble and experienced as you. But, I’m just as stoked!

Good to have you back, and that famous rear foot heel up! Nice kicks too. Can I ask how you get on with the pint regarding the width of the thing?I ride uk 10½ (us 11) shoes and offroad I found the board felt too narrow for me when I tested one briefly. UK roads and pavements are like offroad anyway lol. I like to move my front foot a lot riding XR, pre load one side of the board when riding steep banks etc, and I'm worried I'd have to change ride style on a pint. Or will I just need to get used to it do you think? I'm on and off road continuously finding the funk, so a board just to run errands in an urban environment isn't a reality for me lol. One last question, what's the name of the genre you often use 8n your videos please? Is it wave? Cheers

The pint is really different from the other boards FM has made tbh. I only have like 10 miles on mine. IDK maybe the pint just isnt for everyone. Yea I like Vaporwave and sythwave... but I'd say I lead towards Phonk music in a lot of my videos.

Yep! It kind of feels like you ride "on top of" pushback and its easier to push through it. You just have to learn the motor a bit so you don't push it too far.

yo Sly whats the fastest you've gone on your XR? Top speed I've done in mine is 22.2 MPH I have felt like I can't hit higher speed, but its a bit risky since ive fallen 3 times and injured my left shoulder twice lol just that I didn't record those vids, which suck because the kids can't watch me eat it lol but regardless bro the onewheel community misses your vids man. you should upload another one again very soon. Hope you're doing well bro FLOAT ON SLY!!

Thanks brother! Not sure on top speed tbh… I almost never use the app or record speed. My app says current top speed on my XR is 27.9, but again I hardly use or have the app open when I ride… so I’m not sure how or when that speed was recorded. Have fun and stay safe man! ✌🏼
