Wish this video came out about 3 weeks ago lol. This weekend I bowled on the Kegel Sphinx pattern and did decent but might've done much better if I'd bought something that would compliment well for the pattern like the idol pearl. But I'll eventually get all of these balls at one point down the road 👌🏻. Thank you for making these types of videos, extremely helpful for tournament and house bowlers alike

I drilled a new Idol Pearl like a month after I did my initial review video with the first one. It looked outstanding for literally everyone else I saw throwing it, so I figured there was something going on with mine, and it was the layout. Pin down made it much better for me. Lol I already do like the Winner Solid, it was very Torrent and Rocket Ship-esque for me, but I just don't have a need for anything that weak most of the time.

i got the idol pearl and i would LOVE this ball but the thing is this. and this is all my fault.. when i stay behind the ball, this thing hooks late, stores a huge amount of energy and just gets the job done. but when i slightly go around the ball by accident instead of staying behind it, it just slides down the lane and wont make even a small move. My Motiv Trident Abyss forgives alot more when i dont throw it "perfect". Must be the 2000 grit cover and the strong asymetric core i imagine.. And because i am that inconsistent i usually leave the idol pearl at home.. i wish i could just throw it good everytime but that just doesnt happen so the ball is almost never used which is a real shame because when i throw it good i really like its motion.. I guess i just have to get better at my delivery until then the idol pearl is gonna catch some dust at home. would love to have a phaze 2 but ya know bowling isnt the cheapest of hobbies.. Greetings from Germany

I'm not sure, but I'm going to hold off on my next video in this series, I was going to do a second bag video and then a good extra pair to take as like "emergency" type balls if the conditions get crazy, but the P3 will likely be in there somewhere if it does what I think it will . . we'll see in a couple weeks though.

I cant wait for the Phaze III to come out, I feel like that'll be a good step down from my Hybrid Asym, the Dream On. I have an OG No Rules I have no clue what to do with it at all. It goes left too sharp when I get just a pinch slow, and just sails when I get a lil fast and/or wide.

I think for lower Rev players at least you have to throw in the green iq between the pro and pearl. The green ball is deceptively strong
@LukeRosdahl
@LukeRosdahl 4 жыл бұрын
Actually I have the Emerald under my Idol Pearl, it IS deceptively strong, but my Idol Pearl is still both stronger and sharper. I'm going to drill an Emerald lefty and my rev rate lefty is 350-375, so a bit lower. I'm looking forward to seeing how the difference in mechanics and laneplay on the other side affects all this.

@@LukeRosdahl I'm about that Rev rate right handed and even tho I love the idol pearl and have made alot of money with it the green ball has all but kicked it out of my bag, China and sport. hi everyone I was wondering if anyone could make some suggestions, I have been using the marvel pearl for a while now and have had trouble finding a ball to replace it. In my bag I am also running with and Intense and phase 2, I am I would say a stroker who prefers staying on the outside straight coming in. Any ball recommendations to look at by any company would be greatly appreciated.

As much as I like the idea of an OG MVP/Idol Synergy filling a slot in this bag for me, I'd have to go with the OG Idol, alongside the Phaze II and Axiom, which I feel compliment each other really well. My support bag would have to be Crux Prime, Omega Crux, Axiom Pearl. The Oh Heck bag would probably be where my Phaze III and Hyroad X would live. I feel each ball has significant overlap, possibly too much, but with the Axiom Pearl replacing what used to be the Marvel Pearl, it greatly compliments the Axiom and Omega Crux. From there I figure the Axiom is complimented by the Idol and Phaze II, Phaze II complimented by the Phaze III, and the Omega is complimented by the Crux Prime, with the Hyroad X rounding everything out once the lanes become an absolute dumpster fire.

I have the Phase II and love it. Phaze III is too iffy for me. I have an all road but not super happy with it. I have a physix and its shined and I have an astrophysix on the way. Do you think the Idol Pro would be a great compliment to fit in my arsenal to take the all roads place. My all road seems to hit like a marshmallow unless the lanes have fresh back ends.
@LukeRosdahl
@LukeRosdahl 4 жыл бұрын
Sounds like you like earlier rolling stronger stuff that still has shape . . spec stuff sounds too slow for you, and balls like the P3 and All Road might go too long for you, so the Idol Pro I think would fit right in with the stuff that sounds like it works best for you. I just got the phaze 2. For some reason i keep hitting it through the head head pin no matter how much angle I get. I throw the ball slow at round 13-14mph. I feel like the phaze 2 has to much grip on the lane and I cant get enough on it to get it down the lane before it wants to grip/hook. Should I consider a pearl ball instead of the phaze 2? thanks love the content.

@LukeRosdahl
@LukeRosdahl 4 жыл бұрын
Will D It depends on the layout. Idol Pearl is plenty flippy and doesn’t need any help from the layout, plus I think it helps compliment the Pro better. If the same layout is on both, I think you’d have a bit more overlap than you’d want

@@LukeRosdahl My PSO laid out my Pro so the pin is just above my ring with the cg at about 5oclock just underneath (i touch the emblem with my pinky everytime I tuck it). The way he explained it, it really makes the ball pop coming off the backend, and based on what I see I can't disagree. I know it's hard without specs, but would you consider a pin down layout or something else? The only other PD balls I own are a GE w/ 3.5-4" pin and a HyRoad with a 2" pin
