Jawar is truly brilliant. Thank you for posting this. It truly changed my view of him.

The current S.Sudan crisis be good lesson for Jawar. Today, Jawar thinks the struggle is against Absynia. In the future, the struggle may be Wollega against Harrergie just like the Dinka and Neur case in S.Sudan. Who knows? If our agendas are resources & ethnicity and religion, crisis will never end.

I am not oromo. But I think Jawar has a point. Diaspora politicians need to learn something. Lets calm down and talk. Jawar view is his view. If he has to be criticized, do it in a civilized way. Otherwise, doesnt make sense to insult the whole oromo nation. The way things has been dealt for hundreds of years is not right. Now we still looks like we are in the same path. This video is recorded 6 years ago but surprisingly, jawar has already articulated about other societies attitude for oromo and its movement. I have boldly noticed what is going on even in this modern time. What amazing person you are. U see, that’s why all habesha medias are barking at him to divert his stand and movement but he never stopped. Recently, they even tried to assassinate him in his house in addis when they failed to struggle by idea. But Allah has protected him and i hope he will make a history. We should support jawar. He would be a true father of future great Ethiopia.

People giving harsh negative comments here can be divided into the following main three categories, in my opinion: 1) Haters of Jawar because of his role as an Oromo/Muslim activist 2) Haters of Oromos - Oromophobic (as Jawar puts it) 3) You care about unified Ethiopia, but do not agree with Jawar's ways If you are in category 1 or 2 (or both) - you will just keep hating. Your ears and eyes are closed, and your minds are blocked to facts. You will always be biased about Oromos or Muslims; and you will never be able to contribute something positive to your beloved Ethiopia. Haters never achieved anything positive in the history of mankind. If Ethiopia fails, it is mostly because of haters. If you are in category 3, you are likely good-wishers for Ethiopia. But, instead of using insults and derogatory words against other people and ethnicities, just have the courage to listen and read. And, state that alternatives that you believe is better than Jawar's.

I am Amara background (Amara mother and Amara father) I call my self-Ethiopian. I do support Oromo people because they outline clearly their identity to the world. Most of Ethiopian like me do have identity crisis because we never call our self Amara rather call ourselves Ethiopian. I feel like we are freeloader to Oromo people spread around throughout Ethiopian region. I was born in Bedessa, West Hararghe in oromia region. I feel one of them. If we continue like this think about there are largest ethnic group in the country. For those you live in Addis and bahirdar among Amara groups, please don’t disquiet thing in wrong way you guys hurting us. We are minority here. Whether you like or not we need give peace and tranquility to them in order to live in peace what ever we are. I know what jawar is said is proud his identity no deny his country’s Ethiopia How ever we need to stand like him for our identity not disguise under umbrella term called Ethiopia that not for only habesha it for every citizen like Somali, Oromo, Tigre, Amara and other minority citizen.
