I think talking about pay is important especially with your peers. If you and your coworker do the same job and at comparable quality or time scales then you both should earn the same wage. I happen to be in demand in my field of work, and I was able to tell my company how much they will be paying me instead of the other way around. I couldve asked for at least 10% more because they accepted my offer immediately. oops. But by leaving my old company I increased my wage by 50%. F*ckers.

Cause they're denying facts? They said it wouldn't be useful to know the goalkeeper has 0 boost, which is bs. They literally comm what they think opponents boost is. If you know the keeper has 0 you also change your shot (air dribble bump or flick). I've literally seen players try to go for super hard shots when the goalie is on 0 and hit cross bar cause they're trying to outplay a goalie with boost. Just cause 2 17 year olds say one thing doesn't make it the Bible

The problem is also you let these moments persuade ur view on Johnny as if he is a bad person and should be patronised as most of you do but ironically the people youre supporting i.e Joyo and Rise don't let these moments hinder their emotional attachment to Johnny. It's a disagreement like jeez, Joyo, Rise and Johnny could still banter like nothing happened, becuase it doesn't matter.

Regarding the Frosty discussion: This is why letting kids play is BAD for their mental health. They aren't ready for the spotlight and all it will do it negatively affect their lives long term. Protecting these kids means shielding them from a spotlight they literally cannot handle in most cases. How many kids have to be ruined before epic changes this back to 15 at the very least and hopefully up to 17+

The best way for 18 teams to work is to have bottom 2NA and EU have a group play for who goes into swiss. Fair enough then NA/EU could end up losing 2 spots instead of 1, but in that case its on them. Otherwise a group with SAM2 OCE2, SSA and Asia and top 2 go through to swiss. Still can happen on same day as its only 3 series to play best of 3 or best of 5.

Personally I welcome the imports of non SSA players into the region to play RLCS. There is no better way for the locals to get better than to constantly play against MUCH harder opponents. Hopefully in a few seasons to come we will actually be able to show up against some of the other top regions. I moved from the SSA region to EU and I can personally say my improvement has been incredible in just 1 season.

Thing is, these teams will most likely scrim other EU teams, and not play in SSA. The other side of this coin is that there is no real "point" for a team to scrim / play vs a weaker team. So why would they?

@@AwesomeNuke most definitely this is happening, but even just the SSA teams playing against these EU teams in the open qualifiers will be good exposure already. It's really tough watching the worlds wildcard event and seeing SSA teams getting hammered by everyone we absolutely need as much exposure as possible.

@@zAnti_ That's not what I mean. What I mean is, why would EU teams scrim against SSA teams (weaker teams) when they could be, themselves, improving by playing against equal/better teams in EU They can / will scrim against EU teams and then play qualifiers in SSA and sweep the floor.

@@AwesomeNuke Personally, I'd love to play some scrims on the chosen servers to get accustomed to the ping. I'd rather not do that during the first main event. So I guess they will do some scrims against SSA. But yes, they will prioritize scrims against EU teams for sure.

12:48 You take the wasted 2nd spot from OCE and you have a play-off match between the 4th placed teams from EU and NA for it. I have to agree, the World champs is a micky mouse tornament with high variance in matchup pairings and much lower prestige as a result of having so many poor regions represented/ over-represented. Realistically, EU regionals are now harder to win than world championships and that should never be the case. It is similar to the football discussion about if the Euros is now harder to win than the world cup because of the expanded format to accomodate weaker regions. Yes we need sport/esport development in those regions to get them to the level where they can compete on the world stage. but that doesnt mean they deserve a spot at a world championship before any of that development occurs or is proven. I think the responsibility is on EPIC games to provide opportunities for development and additional smaller tornaments to those regions to grow their levels instead of diluting their premier competition with a participation trophy. In the same way you saw Athletico Madrid winning 2-3 second tier europa league competitions before they proved themselves a squad capable of competing in the champions league.

From an APAC player - our servers are fucked. I should get 20 ping on SEA Maritime, I get 400 most of the time. I should get around 60 ping on SEA Mainland, I get around 120 but its playable. I should get around 90 ping on Japan, I sometimes get 200 ping but there are good JPN servers in ranked sometimes

It frustrates me the way world competition is talked about by the top pros and others. It's not always about getting the BEST it's about having worldwide representation. You don't take Iceland out the World Cup cos they're trash you have them cos they are representing their country

@@blankoutcast I'm pro inclusion. But the point is someone Iceland's level will go every time. An African team is incredibly unlikely to even get out the groups but we love watching them play and they qualified in their own region. Furthest they ever got until Morocco recently was the QF but you're not gonna say replace the African teams with more Europeans

I'm not surprised at all that NRG dropped Frosty. The last series I saw of them in the most recent tourney, he looked so lost and out of place so often. It was like he was a D2 player. Maybe nerves, but he looked terrible. Great before that series, but TERRIBLE in that one.

100% agree with Rise at the beginning. Majors should be bigger with those guaranteed spots for regions, Worlds should be the best 16 teams period. No guaranteed spots for any region just take the best 16 teams by Major results

It is a very young esport for player ages so can't really avoid it. Can appreciate Rise and Joyo are willing to listen and re-evaluate their opinions. Unlike the episode with Virtuoso and Appjack just after the rocket racing/trade removal announcement where they just say the game is dead over and over while wanting Psyonix to take predatory sponsorships (crypto, gambling, skins etc) because other esports do.

If Rise got his way for the tournament, I wouldn't watch or only the watch the final at most. Imagine if the World Cup was exclusive like that. It's basically just the Euros. Still a cool tournament but it doesn't get the same attention or hype for a reason. If Rise got his way, it would well and truly start to kill RLCS.
