I think it's so odd and counterproductive not to allow some of these terms around eating disorders. Pretending the words don't exist isn't actually going to prevent an ED. Eugenia has gotten away with staying online as long as she has, just because she avoids these words and is more covert. Eugenia is a case study as to why censoring the words themselves doesn't work. It's just a hoop everyone else has to jump through to try to discuss her.

You know I often think, if this was literally anyone else on the internet, people would have cancelled her a long time ago. Like, people have cancelled those with more fame than Eugenia but we continue to look into reasons of why she does what she does. And I think that’s the thing she plays into. I don’t think she likes the disorder necessarily, but she likes fame, attention and money. And attention to her body. I don’t think a lot of people with ED love their disorder. But they love the obsession and the control, and praise for their body. Whether that’s consciously loving it or subconsciously. I think this may be why Jeffree has taken an interest in Eugenia. He likes all of those same things she does, and likes to know things other people don’t. He wants to seem mysterious like he’s in on some secret. Whether he was genuine with Eug or not, he knows things about her life nobody else in the world knows for sure. If she did not have this disorder she would have become old news years ago in all honesty. I think she (or whomever) does all they can to make sure she stays somewhat stable in her condition so she can continue this for as long as possible. Edit: people have literally tried to cancel Ariana Grande because of her “alleged” ED, and her shady actions.

She definitely understands what the issue is, every time there is some sort of drama that directly affects her ability to be online, what's the immediate result? She puts more clothes on. And honestly if she can keep that up... keep on long sleeves, keep zoomed in, nobody could tell her anything and she could remain just as emaciated as makes her happy. But can she not flex it? Can she not display it? Does she have enough to "offer" an audience without the body shock factor? I think she does, but does she?

It's honestly a problem beyond Eugenia. My mom follows Wolfgang. Sometimes I would watch too. As a 14 year old content creator I made the comment on one of her lives about Eugenia that it really affects our self image. There were so many people just telling me that it couldn't affect me because I'm clearly healthy. But it does affect me and other girls my age because we aren't a size zero. I'm called fat. I feel fat.
