Honestly, I don’t believe she has the mentality of an adult, she is very child like, probably because of the nutrition she deprived her brain of and because her parents sheltered her so much. The response to the Elmo conversation was just the same as my friends daughter would have given, and she’s 35, but due to brain tumours and surgeries, she is mentally like a 10-12 year old, she is sometimes nasty and mean, just like any other 10-12 year old. At first it worked and I would try to fix things but over time I realized I was being manipulated. So instead of giving in, I started to ignore them. One night they sent me a text asking me if I wanted any of their possessions after they "end it." I didn't respond. So they called me. Again and again and again. I've never talked to them since. Turns out they're still alive and well.
